Streaming is TV that comes over the internet... but it's mostly not "live" TV. To get "live" TV you usually have to pay (a lot) more and also have all the commercials. www.hulu.com

I have Hulu ($15/mo) with Live TV (+$70) which is less than my cable bill was, but it skips a lot and has a lot of "glitches" like if you surf channels a lot of times when you switch back the show will start over from the beginning rather than pickup where you left off before the commercial. You can't forward past commercials and if you rewind a show you have to watch the same commercials again a lot of times.

The price seems to go up pretty regularly and there are quite a few shows that you can only get one season or a few seasons of. Also, if you're at a second home for more than 30 days at a time you need to pay for two subscriptions.

If you put up a new digital TV antenna you can get probably 30 - 50 free live channels without needing internet or subscription services. https://www.antennasdirect.com/blog/10-digital-tv-antennas/

Hulu now allows you to fast forward through commercials on shows that you record, or if you are watching a live show and pause it for some reason, when you start playing it again it will allow you to forward through commercials up to the point that it becomes live again.

It does not allow you to fast forward through commercials in shows or movies that you watch from its streaming library.

Last time I knew, a Stream was a bad ass boat! :)

I just watch old fashion TV shows and even get them by an antenna.

Highway Patrol is on now with Broderick Crawford. Guest star on the last episode I watched was Leonard Nimoy!

They have been having a marathon of Highway Patrol since yesterday. I watched it all night last night until I fell asleep, and it is on all day today. Back when TV was TV and you were not scared to let your children watch it.

A Star Trek marathon goes on 6 nights a week from 7 pm until 12pm. :D

Now days we have twerking cross dressing drag shows entertaining our children.

When mine was young, I was teaching him how to shoot and ride a dirt bike. Taking him to hockey games, flying in airplanes, etc.

What a screwed up world we live in now.

I have a sub. to BritBox and Amazon Prime. Both are like 10-15 dollars a month. With Amazon Prime you get free shipping on Amazon. Being it hurts to walk I do a lot of shopping on Amazon. So with the free shipping I save more than the subscription cost me over the course of a year.

TV is a waste of your precious time. Take that damn thing and chunk it. We might actually have a decent shot at a good society if TV were non existent. Its all programming.Get it out of your house.

The cure for what ails us.

I have "commercial free" and still have commercials.

If I rewind back past a commercial in a "live" show or movie, it makes me watch the commercial again... tried it several times this week. But, that may only be certain channels (I only watch a couple).

The commercials do not go away but you have the ability to fast forward through them.

Watched "A Fistful of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More" last night and did not pay a dime. Just turned the volume down during the scammercials. I am tired of Jonathan from Colonial Penn and the car warranty BS.

As a side note. Sony sucks and I will never buy another. First off the tuner SUCKS and now the mute button morphed into the jump button. So now when I mute it jumps to the previous channel. SMH. :o

The new "TV" way will force millions of people to mow the lawn, read a book, work on a car, truck/ boat when they get home, socialize in public once again, go on a picnic, camp, the list goes on.
When we watch netflix now when ever we see the 2022 date up top we don't even know if we want to watch it. Get real folks. Not many white husbands with black wives with indian children living the scared lifestyle of raceism going on in the real world.

Yep. I really never cared for it.

I watched "Enter the Dragon" the other night when my internet died. Not the first time, and surely not the last. Bruce Lee was fantastic!!!

I need to buy all the Mad Max/Road Warrior movies on DVD.
