Picked up a new toy last week, just got it tightened up and safe for fun. Anything 2 stroke gets me going!

Rotax 125cc Max

It's currently geared for a large straight away style road track, so I'll be changing that for more fun, but in the current configuration it gets to about 40mph and takes off like a rocket. My dad raced dirt oval karts for many years, I always wanted to take one down the street.

That's funny as sht, first time I hit a sewer cap the whole kart launched about a foot into the air, 50mph 1inch off the ground feels 200mph :)

Decades ago, a business associate let me drive his 60 mph Kart (I do not recall the engine size). I just loved the acceleration, pushes you back into the bucket seat. We were on a Kart track, and I thought I was flying. Until he passed me in his 80 mph (top end, is how I define it) kart.

On the long front stretch, I was trying to figure the late braking spot. And then on one lap, I did a literal 360-degree spin, just before the corner. However, I did keep the engine from stalling, and carried on with the enjoyment.

That looks like a ton o' fun!

One of my best memories in my life was the one time I go to do laps in a 125cc shifter kart. I can honestly say it was one of two things that felt like I was doing something that was natural to me. It was like no one had to teach me anything or give me pointers. That was an incredible feeling. Better than sex with a couple of my past girlfriends.
I was instantly running within a 1/4 sec of the guy who owned the kart and he was 20lbs. lighter than me. He weighed 145lbs. soaking wet and could hop on any motorcycle, street or dirt, and ride it like he was born on it.
