Just picking up a 2.5/260 for my STV lake boat. What would be a good tuner for this? My current setup has a 1-piece 2.5 adapter with the rectangular tuner. Is there a better one out there for my application, or is this one the ticket?

The Tuner debate is always an interesting one. LOL. I've always had very good luck withthe G-Force stainless steel tuners (920) 235-5442

Oval is better, Diamond is the best.

I've run em all at one time or other and the ole mercury cut down just a bit works as good as any. Bobs are also good as they don't break like the G force. Close you eyes and pick one.

In my opinion. If your motor's together now, leave it alone. Merc's tuners are probably the best, as to whether oval or Rect. DO NOT put an Oval tuner on a Rect Exh plate. I will not buy another aftermarket tuner, I've had 2 G-force, and one Performance marine Tuner, and all of them broke, and I noticed no difference in performance anyway. I'm back to a Merc Tuner, and happy on my boat. You can cut the merc one to assist in top end, but the std. one has better low end.
