Older CMC Pl 65 jackplate is slowly dropping down after about 30 minutes.
It goes up and down fine. Boat is still in the water and no sheen visible.
Anyone have an issue like this?
I would prefer to replace with another CMC if needed, because it's already wired and have their gauge, but is Bobs Action jack still the preferred jackplate.

Seals are loose. This can sometimes be cured by adding Lucas transmission fix which softens and swells up the seals a little bit. I ran a Land and Sea jack that did this. The Lucas did not solve it there were some o rings in the pump that were toast. I replaced those and it was good to go again. On another motor i had a leaking trim ram that would bleed down. Lucas solved that one and it worked for years til i sold it. Worth a try imo

Since no visible leaks it probably has some internal leak by on some check valve or something. Try the above suggestion. Parts are still available you just need to search if you want to keep the CMC.

This pump and reservoir is different from parts I see online.
I'll check with CMC or whoever owns them now if the Lucas doesn't help
