So here is the story - about 7 Yeats ago I bought this motor a Gen 2 200XS shortshaft sporty Fat shaft . I love it and it's manners as well as how it runs an old 82 Eliminator 19ft . Although it does weigh down this transom at the seam or almost - at the rub rail- I think they all do but this is an Off Shore clamp and it's got a compressor but like I said it performs .
So it came to me with a Complete block in a box - with the above pt#
884- 9763T65
. So I opened it today thinking I should oil it or something - at least verify it's all that . Sure enough it's looking like it should Brand New 200xs shortblock with gold heads and stand offs for the fuel I suspect and an opportunity for fuel and air capped off .
My question is # 1 - does this block fit other 2.5 s and it's just heads are differant ? I did do a little checking and I believe pro marine offered no availability but a fitment of 14 differant- from 1 200 to 13 or so 225 s.
#2 - I think I should be spraying this thing down again - it's always been stored well but moisture can be present . So what's the usual . - the foam filled box is very stout but the plastic bag has corners worn from transport to the point of open or broken seal as far as sealed and bagged .
#3 - I know it should be kept with the motor and I have kept them together but what is a real value on this piece . A reasonable value if you would .
