Need help identifying what this is, or was.
I had to play with exposure just to reference serial numbers, I couldn’t make it out with just my eyeballs…

it wants to throw a 200pm with first “6” of serial# I didn’t think tat was right because it’s got a short “drag” ram. Heard of some 225pm’s “SS” that where 15 but anyway, trying to get some stuff put together.

Thanks!

It looks like an “8” beginning in Max Rpm to me also!
so ya, that eliminates any PM’s…

looks like ending #”5” to me on model H.P. Too… WTH! 245 was carb, you can clearly make out EFI.
Tried to go with the process of elimination, but I’m missing something I guess.

Okay, feel like an idiot now. That Ending “5” would be for …2.5…
I’ve been mixing & matching a lot recently.

I got caught up on the HP rating I.D. Like consumer models & PMs…since that’s all I normally play with.
Also, trying to reference off Crowleys Site in serial number search. it kept throwing the PMs up with what I was plugging in from what I could identify 100% with serial#s… Went to Mercury and pulled it up and, ya…. I’m crazy.

I assumed it was a 260 many years back when I picked it up, just never confirmed… got my wires crossed… I’ll have another beer lol.

Beer’s definitely could have been causing a bit of handicap regarding vision lol:iagree::cheers:

For the clamp bracket, I gotta keep it man, stuff is getting crazy hard to get. For me anyway!
I’m putting a promax together and wanted to hang it on that so I can go have some fun.

I need to find someone to do some work on it. The down housing also, it was run with the lower loose & kind Wonkerd the can.

I tried getting ahold of Marine Machine Works in Louisiana, but no bueno.

I can't really read the numbers either .. but I can see from across the street that you have :

A pair of late model side brackets with the nylon guides.

A offshore / drag, swivel bracket with 2" setback built in. Will work with both the long cylinder in the vertical position .. or the factory shorty in the horizontal position. Valuable and desirable even if it needs some work.

"Lay down" cylinder's .. are expensive and getting harder to find. Even if it leaks down , they are rebuildable if in good shape and repairable ... if they have had water intrusion from living under the waterline for much of their lives ..
