10-year battery life? Good to know that every 2012-2014 Tesla is now DOA. LOL. Amazing that on the internet you can find any line of BS to support an opinion a person has. Here is an idea, don't buy an EV. Why the hate?

Fact check please. Not sure where Cheez get his info but EV carbon footprint breaks even after 13,500 miles. Battery life is 200,000 miles or more. The warranty on most EV cars is 100,000 miles. How many ICE cars have that? If a battery needs to be replaced it can be done with used packs from smashed cars. It is very rare. The batteries are recycled when finished. Hybrid cars use battery packs as well and many car dealers I have talked with have never heard of a failure. It is amazing how the internet spreads so much misinformation about everything. I personally do not care about any of this with our Tesla. I bought it because it one of the best and fastest cars I have owned. Maybe I should get on my soapbox and say all BMW gas engines are junk. I had a BMW M6 V10 that lost a cylinder at 40,000 miles. I took a big loss on that car as the cost to replace or rebuild the engine was crazy money. 40 hours labor just to pull the engine as the front half of the car had to come off. No thanks. Point is cars sometimes breakdown be it EV or ICE. Fact is EV cars have far less moving parts and fewer repairs.

A fender bender on a tesla will give a ridicoulous repair bill because of all the sensors on the car
Removing that crap would go a long way

That's the responsibility of the developer owner operator, most of the 20-30 year old machines are useless compared to today efficiency and capacity factors show this in lower class wind. You can can't compare that old stuff to today's designs which are for the most part are being accepted by the best manufacturers for correct end use recycling and disposal when time comes.
Bats too, plenty of new facilities for that purpose.
Should add on ebikes, they're great if you were into cycling and later had issues that prevent strenuous exercise. Buy the good quality certification bikes , batteries have be starting fires in houses, garages , on public transportation vehicles, everywhere.
Can you explain recycling of blades, I dont think its invented yet.

Break even at 13,500 miles is the lowest estimate that I have seen, from the Argonne National Laboratory. It might be true for me. I would have a smallish 77 kwh battery pack and charge at night using electricity that is 100% nuclear or hydro generated (true for Ontario)
Autoweek estimated break even at 19,000 miles
Ford estimated break even at 1.3.-1.6 years, depending upon vehicle. The average car in the US goes 13,500 miles, so Ford is saying 17,750-21,600 miles
Volvo estimated 30,000 miles using 0% fossil fuel electricity generation, 48,000 mile using the current EU electricity mix
Its interesting how far apart Volvo and Ford are
The National Observer (Canadian news site) estimated lifetime ICE car emissions at 80 tons, and lifetime EV emissions at 13 tons. They assumed 7.8 liters/100 km fuel economy (30 mpg), a 70 kwh battery pack, and 314,000 km (195,000 miles) vehicle life. The report noted that batteries would likely outlast the car and could possibly be repurposed for electricity storage.
I cannot find an estimate of 80,000 mile break even, but I know how to do it. Assume a big battery pack. Everyone wants a lot of range, but a lot of range means a big battery and a lot of initial CO2 emissions. Its possible that the GM Hummer CO2 break even point is never. My view is that if someone wanted to minimize their C02 emissions and could not live without big range, a hybrid is a better option then pure EV.
The big variables in estimating payback are fuel efficiency (yes it matters for EVs), battery size, and how the electricity is made.
At the risk of returning to the original topic, my expectation is that the CO2 break even point for an EV boat is never. At least with current technology, pun intended. But it's fun to see what is possible.

The only thing an EV can do without argument is remove pollution from a city.
If that was true ( which it is) the gov would have forced/subsidized all taxi services to convert right?

Hertz just announced they are unloading 20,000 battery cars and replacing them w/gas.
Hummmmmm, what could they possibly be seeing
Tesla started a price war last year, and everyone who had an EV lost lots of Value,
My brother was just about to sell his 6 year old S and he lost around $20,000 because they dropped the high end car a LOT I'm
talking about the New X and S models dropped almost $ 20,000.
So the bean counters say EVs don't hold their value, very untrue, before Tesla's big price dropped values stayed very high.
Growing Pains and nothing more,
It's been three years...
https://winknews.com/2020/08/25/fire-that-destroyed-nearly-4000-rental-cars-at-rsw-causing-100m-in-damage-ruled-accidental/
From what I read, It's not normal wear and tear maintenance cost, those are lower, but drivers are more prone to front-end.
accidents. with EVS and those cost are higher,
When I'm at a stop light on my 1400 Kawasaki bike and there is a Tesla next to me I
have a 50 % chance he wants to race, that doesn't happen with other cars but many Tesla drivers are game. If they have a twin
motor model, they become racers...
Tesla's are known to accelerate quickly and have poor brakes:cheers:

More on Hertz.
BTW, a friend was recently telling me his girl just bought a Tesla S.
Said wicked fast from 0 - 60 but you could watch range for down w/it.
She just bought it and was unsure she had range to get home.
Paid $15k for self driving option.
Said while self driving an incoming driver veered into their lane and instead of steering to avoid it. It locked up the brakes!
While another car was tail gating them!
Said you cannot jack up a corner to change a flat as it will twist its alum frame.
Must be flat topped…, for a flat!
Yeah, sign me up!

I have a friend with a Hertz franchise.....They HATE the electric stuff! But some people INSIST on renting them. So they have to make them go away to eliminate the problems they cause. Really big one is insurance, another is they are returned near dead most of the time and they can't recharge them with a quick enough turn around time when they are busy. Normal turn around time for an ICE rental is less than 1/2 hr. EV might be several hours.
If they do away with the POS golf carts .......>
How will all the ego maniacs with an inferiority complex , separate themselves for the rest of the left wing yuppies ...

It seemed odd to me that a Tesla could not be jacked up to change a tire. I asked Mr Google how to change a Tesla tire. Lots of videos show that it is possible to jack a Tesla corner. The cars do not come with a jack. One needs a floor jack and an adapter. Not as simple as my modern rides, but I own a floor Jack. It is easier to lift a Tesla then my 1969 Lotus.
Some, maybe all, EVs need to be towed on a flatbed. In the Kia EV6 manual it says this has something to do with the regenerative braking.

Google Tesla accident rate, it is the highest, yet it is the safest car also, why because many become racers, playing around, hot rods,
so the accident rate is the highest, I'm telling you they want to race at the light, My bike is a 10.25 at 130mph 1/4 mile machine so
yes it's fun to pull away from them, but in Florida racing is a misdemeanor and you go to jail:eek:
Also, racing from a light when there is a crown in the road is special, If you have traction control on it will cut the power when your

Read the articles regarding why Teslas have a higher crash rate. Biggest factor is they are faster than most sports cars which also have higher crash rates. Myself and several of my friends who own Rivian and Tesla cars and SUV's all love them. I own a C-8 Vette and a Porsche, the insurance is high on those cars as well. Don't care as they are all nice cars. Here is an idea don't buy an EV if you think they are so bad. To each their own. I am pretty sure when everyone had a horse and buggy and the first autos came out there were lots of complainers.

Maybe the Ram 'Ramcharger' truck is the answer for towing. It will have a V6 that is not connected to the drivetrain. The V6 charges the batteries as required. Car and Driver expects 145 mile range as EV only, and then the range extender kicks in.
2025 model year.

Maybe the 2025 Ramcharger will be the answer for electrified pick up towing. It will have a V6 engine that is not connected to the drivetrain. The gas engine just charges the battery. 145 mile EV range when not towing. Normal pick up range after that.

I HAVE to agree with you on that; Ford's EV truck is downright pitiful.
I'm waiting for the EV Silverado pickup,
I heard talk of 450 miles a charge, time will tell,
I don't want a Cybertruck that only gets 300 miles,
After owing a Zero EV motorcycle with a double battery and being frustrated with the range
I'm not going to spend $100,000. on a LIE
The reason I was on board was his claim of 500+ miles then almost cut it in half,
No way, bait and switch, Those new batteries that they are using in these trucks have not lived up to his Hype,
I believe we all understand Elon sells dreams, then tries really hard to deliver,
Original deal $79,900. 500+ range
They notified me since I was early like 5 minutes from opening orders, I can get the $120,000. + version
Really only $40,000.00 + more and no 500-mile range,
I'm waiting to see what GM has coming out,
450 is the minimum in my world.

Even if the grid is on, and could handle the load, lithium batterys don't work very good in cold weather. Dishcharge rate is seriously reduced. In the model rc world, battery warmers are utilized. When I run batterys under 50°f they hit the low voltage shut off instantly. Better put that ev in the garage.
Then you have the other side of the spectrum, too hot makes em puffy, and degrades lifespan, about 150° and your doing damage, 200°+ and a fire extinguisher probably won't help. Better not leave that ev parked out in the sun!
Oy yeah don't get em wet either.

Biggest factory, so what, how about a new factory to build something special in new design,
So many new battery breakthroughs are touted, now which one will be able to scale up to produce millions of cars. ?
Every year
2025 will be the start of REALLY new chit coming to the market, but it will take MUCH longer to become commonplace.
Once 500 to 700-mile range becomes common, 85% will charge at home.
Between new battery designs and recent breakthroughs in solar panels,
We will become self-sufficient,
I find it humorous that many are scared of solar energy; really, are you scared of FREE energy?
Here in Florida, the power companies can't build Solar farms fast enough,
and with recent breakthroughs in solar panels,
Perovskites and organic semiconductors, the change will speed up greatly
Once again we need the new batteries for solar to work,

This factory shall create batteries for all Tesla cars and trucks as well as the $25K entry-level Tesla EVs ( and will also provide batteries for General Motors and Ford EVs )

Great, BUT
Nothing new; we need new, better Ideas to come to market for multiple reasons...

Every single transportation dollar will be leaving the United States for Communist China and Mexico. What will we get for our money, tin cans that barely run and when they do .. they do it for short distances at a time. Of course we get to keep all the poison battery's to sit in our junk yards and pollute our water supply when their short life is over. Pretty pathetic that we have moron's in this country that think this is a good idea.

Mr know-it-all,
8 to 10 new batteries tech's ideas have already been developed in the lab,
But going from the lab to full-scale production takes years because that's a new issue; mass production.
has so many challenges. Everything must be created from scratch, you can't just order said machines to start production,
every single thing has to be designed to produce mega amounts at a reasonable price,
Elon Musk has said Production can be 1,000 times harder than engineering.
Easier Said than Done:rolleyes:

Common sense tells me to follow what the leaders in sales and reliability are doing. Then offer something additional to gain market share from them "this is called competition" and we as consumers are always the prize winner when normal open markets are in play. Toyota and Honda are building hybrids like crazy, they are outselling everyone as well, they have very low emission ratings for their production line (HELLO....) they have been kicking our ass for the past 12 years, if you can't beat them, join them....The government does not build cars and they surely should not break or support the companies that do.

IF your Tesla does not charge in super cold temps (-30C) , follow what this person has done ..
1. your battery needs to be at least 20% charged and has been pre-conditioned before using a Supercharger
2. if #1 above is not achievable , then go to a level-2 charger to pre-condition and charge to >20% charge
3. return to a Supercharger to complete your vehicle's charging

Sure but in ozzie they have just worked out if you have an ev you can only charge at public charger as you live in an apt.
EV's do remove city pollution but cost more to buy and drive than gas at the moment.
Not to mention insurance costs that are about to skyrocket and there will be many regulations where an EV can go whilst they have batteries in them.
I think the water shed will be the UK Luton airport fire resolution, Insurance will wake up then.

Back when there was more c02 and it was hotter the plants and animals flourished for far longer then we have been here.

Might be better to wurry about Comet Putin and Comet Xi having no problem to benefit their small circle around them
Hanging on to the little bit of democracy we have left in the west the immediate dangers are not the climate but a push to silence the other voice
Galilei was put under house arrest for stating the earth revolved around the sun going against consensus
The biggest danger is when science becomes a religion and tries to hide facts that do not follow the religion
Is the earth warming Yes having a lot of slush snow here and 8 dgr celcius
Is it warming because of human activity probably with all the moving around of people and materials
Is it going to be an issue, that would depend on will it lead to people dying of thirst and hunger
Putin already weaponised food as a weapon and energy as a good second
China does nearly all of the lithium processing for ev keeping all those nasty emmisions of our western balance sheet
So we have enormus pile of butter on our heads and before you make the right decisdion you need to get the facts straight
In our very socialistic city of Utrecht wich rivals Amsterdam in stupidity they are already throtteling public charger to ev for net congestion
This is in the netherlands where we live on top of each other so if we can't make it work or are much slower than desired how is this suppose to happen in the US where grid distances are much greater let alone eletricity generation from nuclear plants is very dated

Its the next step from TDS to form EDS Electric Deranged Syndrome
Its very similar, no logic no science and believe in fairies
That cuts both ways though, doesn't it. I don't agree with the mass introduction of EV, but they can serve a purpose, especially in high density population areas, and set route, point to point delivery vehicles. The FedEx driver that delivers to me loves his EV truck.

With light weight generators for multiple electric engines even better if they are opposed piston engines which can placed low in the hull for better weight distribution

It would be heated discussion about all the fast charge stations that someone found at the lake and how fast they charged. Even with Biden kicking in 7500.00 there is no way I would pay 375 a month, "be limited to 10K per year, and not be able leave town". If you don't leave town, its a great deal. We all knew that Biden was going to make electric sell by having us all pay into his agenda. Such B.S. that "we the people" fund this stuff. Give it another 6 months and he will be handing them out at the boarder. It used to be "sign and drive", but it might become "cross and drive" or maybe instead of a government phone, he will give out government golf carts.

310 mile range, and charges to 80% in 30 mins. That is Miami to St. Augustine on a single charge. I think it'll be fine going out of town. What makes you think Elon of all people would allow such ridiculous yearly travel limits on his vehicles? battery density is so far behind liquid fuels its a joke, people are fooled by a car that uses very little power to roll down the the road at 55mph like 20hp so 20kwhr
The simple maths
go water skiing with a 100kw outboard for one hour at wot you use 100kwhr, thats a tesla 100kwhr battery that weighs over 1000lbs

Elec John is more or less gone as a result of an ill considered bet. I wonder if he ever got his electric wakeboard boat.
It takes more CO2 to make an electric car than an ICE car. The payback can be relatively quick if the car is driven a lot and the volts are not coming from coal. I know with the amount my boats get used, the CO2 payback would be never. I am super interested in electric boat speed records, and completely uninterested in actually owning an electric boat with existing battery technology. Maybe when the delirium crystals get fine tuned…
You just wait .. 10 to 15 more years. The tards will import 50,000,000 more people who don't speak English to be elidable to vote as soon as they step into the US. Great for people who don't leave town like I said. I just drove from the house in FL. to the house in LOTO "two diesel trucks with two boats in tow" 1240 miles in 18 hours. Thats what leaving town means. I will be in Michigan at the house there later this week "750 miles". As far as putting 10K on a vehicle annually? We have 11 cars and trucks in our fleet so they get divided up and my 22' truck still has 60 on it already. My 24 will have 6K on by the end of next week. Maybe I am that different but I don't think so-we do stuff.

Exactly. Your scale is very different to the average consumer. Most families have one or two vehicles MAX, where every dollar counts. The Model Y was never made for someone in your position, but to most Americans it's well worth the savings, especially if you have a good solar setup. The physics of towing will always make EVs a non starter for boat owners, even the cybertruck. Range is cut in half with any lind of real load, and even moreso in the cold. We are talking about how practical it is for everyone, meaning MOST cases without inserting someone's personal situation or political opinion. This thread is so old and messed up now that people don't even realize Elon isnt even a liberal. I hope to get to the point where 310 miles is "in town" to me, and if you think anyone is gonna be forced to buy or be given a vehicle in America by law and not be expected to walk with their bootstraps even if they don't have legs, I don't know what country you've been living in. Sleepy Joe may lie and say he wants to give people things, but saying and doing are two very different things. To fear something like that, he'd have to actually have power to get anything done at all. It's not like there's gonna be a majority in congress anytime soon, and especially not on that issue. Until then, the conversation on EVs should be about it being a practical choice or not. Period.

Life is short, you better change your thinking if you want to see whats out there. This is boating site, 99% of us have boats, lots of us travel, and we pull. Like I said "good in town golf cart" for the people in this discussion group. If this administration can steer the consumer market/choice with $7500.00 rebates, what makes you think that they won't offer two or three times that as these things continue to stockpile on the lots and at the factories. The real world has already proven that they are not viable yet with rental companies not doing well, resale being pennies, and tow range is a total joke "City limits only". When I joined this site 20+ yrs ago I thought it was focused on light, fast, racing outboard powered boats!
Thx to all you newbie trolls for setting me straight!
BTW, the elec OB that just set its own record was on a hull similar to this but….., weighed a 1000 lbs more!
It required charging after each Kilo (6/10 mile) attempt.
The one I attached races 5 miles (8.33 kilometers) on a single, 2 gl tank of fuel w/50% reserve.
They race hrs long marathons by simply, adding larger tanks.
I love the F-1 style, electric car racing class.
They start the race in one car, then when the batteries die they pit and change cars to

LOL, at 66 I am as likely to buy a kneel down boat as I am to buy an electric boat. I'll go watch some kneel down and T boat races in June, but you won't see me in one. And as I've said before, I think electric boats are interesting but not yet useful.
I think of this site as being aimed at boats like my SS2000. 18-20' outboards. Bigger boats are interesting, but I don't know what I would do with one.
As it turns out, I am a car guy as well as a boat guy, and Tesla fascinates me.
The Tesla video that was posted was interesting. I wonder if it was AI generated. (1) A lot of crude pronunciation (2) At the end there were dubious claims of production volume. They are anticipating 200,000 vehicles a year from the new assembly plant process vs the current norm of 100,000? Any random vehicle assembly plant runs about a car a minute and cranks out 250,000 cars a year on 2 shifts. I've been to scores of assembly plants.
But wait, there's more:) Tesla is already at around 41 second cycle time for their 3/Y assembly using traditional assembly lines. Yes there is some new stuff in vehicle design there, giga castings and structural battery packs that include the seat mounting. But the 3 and Y are made on assembly lines, significantly faster then anyone else (41 s vs 58 s at best)
A lot of business press is projecting EVs to be break even with ICE vehicles in this decade. If Tesla can revolutionize vehicle assembly in 2025, they might be there. Of course Mr Musk usually misses his deadlines.
I could post links to pages about the new Tesla assembly process if desired.

Only comparing technologies.
I think this thread is about an electric OB setting a speed record??
Dont think it’s very practical either??
Those sold on the ev’s will be no matter what.
To me, they’re toys not cars.
Have all the fun you want.

You might be living a little to close to CUDA, I think he is rubbing off on you. We have two choices for a president (that is it), is your hatred or jealously going to make you avoid going after his fiscal policies, ability to communicate, handle international trade and relations, control international energy cost etc. etc.? that help you as an individual and small business owner. Trump operates approximately 250 successful businesses and is one of the American success stories not a typical government employee. We need to embrace the fact that Trump has such a huge ego and sensational appetite to shrink our government and eliminate as much corruption as possible. This guy writes thousands of paychecks every week and he can relate to us as business owners. Biden has never written a payroll check (only collected them from us and other countries). You might want to concentrate on his hundreds of successful business ventures rather then the few that have failed. His success is blatantly obvious "he spends more on operating his private aircraft in a single month they you or I make in ten years". Who do know that owns 10 businesses or more?--learn from them.
Bottom line you have two choices for November (you might want to see who your customers support and which candidate would make them more likely to spend additional money with your company)--I think you already know the answer and need to go with common sense for the benefit of your family and business.
If you want to be successful, have a successful leader and successful friends. Hang around 5 millionaires and you will become #6, hang around 5 drug dealers and you will become #6. We are all products of our environment-Create the one that best for all of us.

Tailan did not mention any specific plans for passenger vehicle integration yet, but did state its latest generation of all-solid-state battery cells are vehicle grade. "The governments job was never to steer or control private enterprise." By that logic, a subsidy for an electric vehicle, that lowers the cost to consumers should be just as acceptable. Oil prices dropped worldwide during Covid, US policy had literally zero to do with the dip in gasoline prices. US oil companies have very little to do with the price of gasoline compared to the OPEC countries that have easily refinable oil. The Fracking boom that led to shale, and natural gas taking over happened under Obama, and was going to make the US the world's largest producer of fossil fuels regardless of who was in charge. The growth of US oil companies was secure. Giving those companies a welfare check only ended up in the pockets of their executives and was given when they needed it the least, and then they cashed millions in PPP loans that were forgiven, and made absolutely sure to work with OPEC to ensure all of their losses were recouped by the price hikes in 2022, regardless of their continued corporate welfare by the Biden administration. It's still socialism no matter what type of company is being supported by the government. I'm just looking for some consistency from the people who think us collectively making electric cars cheaper to buy is so horrible, but have zero issue when we collectively support oil and gas companies when the effect it has on our prices is negligible. The difference is profitability. The profit margins on fossil fuels are astronomical short term, there is zero need to make it any more profitable than it already is. It is the opposite with electric vehicles, which are expensive but real gains are seen long term. That is the type of asset perfect for a subsidy to help early adoption increase, and improve the innovation in the sector. It is good business. People forget the nuclear factor. Electric vehicles are the only way to realize the gains of Nuclear power. Every dime spent on oil and gas subsides from our tax dollars should go towards advancing nuclear power. It is the future. Not oil, gas, solar, or wind.

Oil & gas prices were down and profits were up because President Trump lowered the cost... lowering taxes, the cost of exploration, the cost of complying with over-regulation, the cost of actual production, and the cost of transportation. The only way prices go down and profits go up is by lowering the cost.
Electric vehicles are irrelevant to the use of nuclear power... increased use of nuclear power is the only thing that will make EV's relevant. Nuclear is every bit as useful for heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, manufacturing, etc whether there are EV's or not.
Internationally, President Trump brought peace and stability to the middle east and eastern europe, which lowered demand (wars require a LOT of fuel, and reduced the losses (costs) that oil companies and oil producing nations had to face.

Right, the global pandemic had nothing to do with it...
Tell the Ukrainians who've been at war since 2014, and the Afghanis who are under Taliban rule thanks to Trump making a deal with them that their lives were peaceful just because he was in office.
If you think OPEC lowered the cost of oil because there wasn't wars going on, you clearly weren't paying attention. Trump says, No new wars happened during his presidency. That is correct. But even he knows and admits that his presidency wasn't a time of world peace by any means.
If what you were saying were true, there would have been stable low oil prices during the whole Trump administration, like a bowl in the data, but there wasnt...at all. It was 50 to 70 a barrel from 2016 to 2020, a sharp spike down to 11 dollars a barrel in April 2020 at the peak of the worlds lockdowns, and shot back up to 40 dollars a barrel by July 2020 as things began to open back up worldwide, and it stayed around there until Trump left office. It had nothing to do with him, and even less to do with his foreign policy. The lowest oil prices during his presidency from the day he took office to global lockdowns, was the day he took office. I don't hear anyone reminiscing about the 30 dollars a barrel we had in 2016 when Obama left office, I wonder why?
Whether Trump were reelected or not, the oil producing nations were going to recoup those losses.
POTUS doesn't control global oil prices. The 22 leaders of OPEC and OPEC+ Nations do. Look at the data, can you honestly look at those numbers and credit that drop to anything but covid? 531595

The Covid outbreak existed outside of the bubble of the United States you clearly live in. The WHO declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on January 30, and ended it on May 5th. Your lines for covid are way off. Here's the exact dates for the dip. They correlate with the WHO'S declaration almost perfectly. You also provide zero explanation or event to explain the drastic dip, other than world peace? If that were the case? Why was the dip so short? And you acting like oil being 11 dollars a barrel being a good thing just because your gas was cheap ignores the fact that it caused oil wells to be capped across the country, leading to massive delays in their restart, and thousands of oil workers being laid off. 11 dollars a barrel was NOT a good thing. And that massive hump during the early Trump administration really helps your case too...
Actually read the data, and line it up with actual history. By the time you say covid started, one in TEN humans had already been infected.

Nice altered reality chart. Love the sliding scale for the price of oil. Just like Perdue pharma for Oxycontin. I fixed the timeline for you for you. Notice The price of oil crashed from around $115 in 2014 to around $26 in early 2016 due to the fracking revolution during Obama's term. Then prices crept UP through most of Trump's term. Then crashed at the start of covid due to lack of demand. That put all the small frackers into bankruptcy killing supply. When demand came back post covid, prices skyrocketed. Notice how prices were shooting back up through $60 before the end of Trump's term. Big oil controlled supply. Thay could have increased it, but they didn't want to. They wanted big profits. They stated they were losing money for the last 8 years due to low prices and wanted profits. It takes time to reopen a fracked well. It needs to be re fracked. Thats why now we are producing record amounts of oil now. The small frackers are back. Just to be clear, neither Trump nor Biden should be running this country.

You never Trumpers are nuts. Who do you want to run our country? Give us a name. How about Greta Thunburg, Michelle Obama, Gavin Newsome. All great economies run on cheap energy. The USA has more oil, nat gas, and coal under our feet than any nation on earth. The price of a barrel of oil was cheap under Trump, not because of covid, but because we had an unlimited supply. The morons in DC have shut down production of oil, for example, in the gulf of mexico where most of the offshore rigs didn't stop producing oil, the rigs simply got moved and leased to Brazil.
Lets here your solutions. Why do you think the cost of existing is skyrocketing. Look at the cost of food, housing, your electric bills, just your basics. Trump doesn't have all the answers, but at least he has some. This country is going in the toilet, maybe we can stop the madness. MAGA

Large, permanent corporate tax cuts. The centerpiece of the law was a deep, permanent cut in the corporate tax rate — from 35 percent to 21 percent — and a shift toward a territorial tax system, which exempts certain foreign income of multinational corporations from tax.
20 percent deduction for pass-through income. The law adopted a new 20 percent deduction for certain income that owners of pass-through businesses (partnerships, S corporations, and sole proprietorships) report on their individual tax returns, which previously was generally taxed at the same rates as wage and salary income.[12]
Cutting individual income tax rates for those at the top and weakening the alternative minimum tax (AMT). The law cut the top individual income tax rate from 39.6 percent to 37 percent for married couples with over $600,000 in taxable income (and often even higher gross income). The law also dramatically weakened the AMT, which was designed to ensure that higher-income people who take large amounts of deductions and other tax breaks pay at least a minimum level of tax. The law made far fewer households subject to the AMT and typically made those still subject to the provision pay far less,[13] delivering another sizable tax cut to many affluent households.
Doubling the estate tax exemption. The law doubled the amount that the wealthiest households can pass on tax-free to their heirs, from $11 million per married couple to $22 million (indexed for inflation).

History can't be changed,
President Donald Trump campaigned as a billionaire businessman and champion of the working class with the economic prowess and deal-cutting skills that politicians in Washington, D.C., lacked.
He summed up his position neatly during the campaign: "I'll be the greatest jobs president that God ever created."
On the campaign trail, Trump claimed to be laser-focused on bringing back manufacturing and mining jobs, renegotiating trade deals that led to work disappearing overseas and curtailing immigration.
Yet, as he left after his one-term tenure, Trump became the first president since Herbert Hoover during the Great Depression to depart office with fewer jobs in the country than when he entered.
So under Biden the Jobs over 14 million, just fact, can't be changed fact.
STATEMENT BY ACTING SECRETARY OF LABOR SU ON JANUARY JOBS REPORT
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su issued the following statement on the January 2024 Employment Situation report:
“Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the American economy added 353,000 jobs in January, bringing the total jobs created under President Biden to 14.8 million. The unemployment rate held at its steady, low rate of 3.7 percent. This continues a two-year trend of a jobless rate under four percent, the longest stretch in more than 50 years.
“This strong jobs report also shows balanced, broad-based growth across sectors, with gains in retail, health care and professional and business services like engineering and management jobs. Employment in manufacturing also rose by 23,000 in January, and since President Biden took office, we’ve added 791,000 manufacturing jobs across the country.
“Even with these strong gains in our economy, we have more room to grow by bringing more people into the labor force. That’s why we will continue to pursue President Biden’s agenda of creating good jobs with pathways to the middle class and fighting for policies that support childcare workers and working families.”

I can't believe you believe the B.S. coming out of this government. Most of the jobs created were part time, low wages, or the illegal immigrants invaders with their illegal green cards or fake ID's. and fake SS #'s. The IRS loves this crap because the illegals pay taxes but can't file for refunds. Most Americans are feed up with this crap

Anyone is better than the guy who lost over 50 election cases, including a Supreme Court ruling by his closest justices against him and a majority conservative court, and STILL tried to have Mike Pence not certify the election. At that moment he truly exposed himself as caring more about his own power than our republic. I can never support that, and anyone who does, is either lying to themselves, or they support Trump more than the legitimacy of our Republic being preserved. He should be disqualified, but I will take the easy 2024 election win. DeSantis or Haley would have mopped the floor with Sleepy Joe. Now he might actually win a SECOND term while unconscious. Crazy that Trump blew it this hard.

Your buddy Brandon that's who. It was one of his executive orders right after he entered the faux presidents office. lol He reversed everything good that Pres. trump had gotten done in his term. This info seems to end up with a zero carbon emissions goal. All cars and trucks going EV by 2030. Sounds a lot like a ban on gasoline and fuel oil is the only way to achieve it.

Since the day he took office, President Biden has weakened U.S. energy independence with proposals, policies and nominees that blame the fossil fuel industry for his administration’s missteps and out-of-touch aspirations, further harming an industry we need now more than ever.

The Keystone XL pipeline wasn't going to bring a single barrel of oil to the US. That pipeline was originally planned for shale products to Mexico. The sections that were already built, already had over 100 failures and spills on US soil, poisoning US water.
Setting a goal for US car companies to be producing EVs by 2030 does not mean banning gasoline and fuel oils. Older vehicles, Trucks, boats, etc will need infrastructure to eb fueled for the lifetime of those products. We will not see anything like that in our lifetimes, nor is there support for that even in the most progressive wings of the Democratic party. That is more extreme than even the Green new deal if it were passed as is, without any input from conservatives. No one wants to ban it altogether and totally collapse the US economy while there is no viable alternative for heavy freight, not even AOC. Especially not sleepy Joe.

You know where they are headed with this crap. Stop being obtuse. You really think that they will stop at their 2030 goals? You believe that the ceasing of oil exploration is for the heck of it. It's to drive oil prices upward indefinitely. That's an easy way to get to net zero goals. Won't have to worry about any of this nonsense after the 1st of the year with any luck. Trump will set this mess straight in short order. He will do executive orders in a quantity never seen in history. Probably within 24 hrs of his swearing in.

Jlanier, here is the correct info for the Keystone xl.
The 1,700 new miles of pipeline would offer two sections of expansion. First, a southern leg would connect Cushing, Oklahoma, where there is a current bottleneck of oil, with the Gulf Coast of Texas, where oil refineries abound. That leg went into operation in January 2014. Second, the pipeline would include a new section from Alberta to Kansas. It would pass through Bakken Shale region of eastern Montana and western North Dakota. Here, it will pass through a region where oil extraction is currently booming and take on some of this crude for transport.
The southern leg of the Keystone XL ties into the existing Keystone pipeline that already runs to Canada, bringing up to 700,000 barrels of oil a day to refineries in Texas. At peak capacity, the pipeline will deliver 830,000 barrels of oil per day. While the pipeline is initially carried U.S. light crude, it is expected to carry more heavy Canadian oil harvested from tar sands.
Just so that you know the facts, Canada is now shipping most of that oil to China, and what little the US gets is being shipped by rail, owned by Warren Buffet. No collusion there.
Facts
Markets and transportation
Canada produces more oil and natural gas than we need to meet energy demand within our country, so the remainder is exported. Currently, most of Canada’s oil and natural gas exports go to the United States. New Canadian infrastructure such as the Trans Mountain Expansion Project pipeline, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities on the West Coast, will enable Canada to reach new markets such as China, India, and other destinations in the Asia-Pacific region. ( not operational yet)
Even if the Keystone XL extension were completed, it would contribute less than 1 percent to world oil supplies, and the assumed downward pressure it would provide on fuel prices (and energy independence subsequently) would thus be negligible.

We are at a tee in the road. You either make a turn to the Right, a turn to the left, or crash. Not really complicated but you don't seem to comprehend the situation. Like I said previously, you need to talk to your customer base and see which presidential candidate will benefit them, that will in turn benefit you, your business, and your family. Do you believe that these lawsuits against Trump have merit? Do you think that there wasn't serious voter fraud in the last election? You have fallen for the "CUDA trap" never bear hatred or let it control you over basic common sense. Trump is not a saint, but he is compared to our other option and he has real understanding of fiscal policy that effects every citizen in this country and the way that we are represented on the world stage. Biden is a complete embarrassment who is working against all of us with his open invites, his personal printing press, corrupt business practice, and lack of respect from leaders abroad.
Joe
Quit believing lies, and you will be fine.
We are less than one year away from Election Day and although there has been no new evidence or litigation regarding election fraud in the 2020 election, many people continue to believe that the 2020 election was flawed. In the summer, a poll by the Associated Press showed that 22% of Republicans and 71% of Democrats have high confidence in votes being counted accurately in 2024. A more recent Washington Post poll found that among New Hampshire Republicans, over 50% believe Biden’s win was fraudulent, including 85% of Trump supporters.
Chief among those who continue to believe that the 2020 election was fraudulent is the former president, Donald Trump, who can’t seem to stop talking about it. In one post, he goes after the Republican Party for not doing enough — “… the RNC, and Ronna McDaniel, must spend their time working on this, instead of meaningless Debates where I am up by more than 50 points.”
So, where’s the fraud?
The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, has been monitoring election fraud cases state by state. Election fraud covers a range of activities — such as registering someone to vote and forging their signature, filling out an absentee ballot for someone who has died or moved away, voting while ineligible, or pretending to be someone else at the polling place and voting. They find that there have been 1,465 proven cases of election fraud — 1,264 of these resulted in criminal prosecutions and the remainder resulted in civil prosecutions, diversion programs, judicial findings, or official findings.
You are just a trump sucker
NO proof at all ?
Remember Joe won by 7 million votes, not close at all.
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4385239-voter-data-expert-trump-campaign-2020-election-not-stolen/
Ken Block, whom the Trump campaign hired in 2020 to find voter fraud in the election, penned an op-ed Tuesday stating unequivocally that the 2020 presidential election was not stolen and that there was no evidence of voter fraud sufficient to change the outcome of the election.
“Can a steady diet of lies and innuendo overcome the truth?” the USA Today op-ed began. “In November 2020, former President Donald Trump asserted that voter fraud had altered the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. The day after the election, his campaign hired an expert in voter data to attempt to prove Trump’s allegations and put him back in the White House.”
“I am the expert who was hired by the Trump campaign,” Block wrote.
Block, who owns Simpatico Software Systems, said his company’s findings were communicated directly to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, and transcripts of depositions taken by the Jan. 6 select committee investigating the attack on the Capitol “show that the campaign found no evidence of voter fraud sufficient to change the outcome of any election.”

Trump has already been in charge. Nothing he did benefitted me, my family, or our business. His calls to end legal immigration were and are an insult to the skilled immigrant workers who are the lifeblood of the boating industry, and Desantis continuing his policies in Florida are a huge reason for the labor shortage. We are small enough, cheap enough and unique enough to where we are very lucky and have had minimal struggles compared to many other boat companies, and have stayed very consistent with boats to build over the past 25 years. We've had zero drop in sales as administrations have changed parties, despite the same preditictions every election year that we would never survive a democratic presidency, only to see sales go up and up. Deregulation and the financial crisis it led to under conservative leadership destroyed a ton of companies.
For you to suggest that higher taxes on the rich would kill the boating industry for a 20ft boat company is hilarious. If anything the massive number of boaters buying yachts and million plus dollar boats will drop and it would probably make our small boat business even better as people downsized little, God forbid.
And even if you were right, and anything Trump would do would actually help the company I work for, the cost of the damage he has already done to our Republic, isn't something I am okay with as an American, which matters far more to me than the opinion of customers as to what will make them or me more money. There are many things that matter far more than me to money, or anyone's opinion of me. I can work hard every day and still be a leftist. I have heard more than enough stories of my families personal interactions with Trump and his businesses to never give him my support either, even if they all still drink the Kool aid. My dad, R.E., still thinks he's president running the country from NORAD and that the guy campaigning for him is a body double running for a third term, which is legal to him because the Constitution was suspended in the 1950s.
Again, Trump thought building THREE casinos in Atlantic City under the same company would be a good idea. Look at how that worked out...he lost millions.

Kim Jong Un got a meeting and an acknowledgement from a US President for literally nothing in return. Tensions there are higher than ever. If Biden had done that you'd probably be calling him a communist if you weren't already. Kim literally flattered his way into a meeting, and STILL is praised by Trump after giving him nothing. If that's not what you mean by f*ck with Trump, idk what would meet that definition at all lol. Trump bent over in every political sense with North Korea.
You seem to have no idea how diplomacy works. You HAVE to interact with all the nations on the earth when you rep for the US. We are a world leader and a nuclear power. Don't forget that N Korea/Russia/China have nukes. You think it's better to just ignore our potential opponents? Most of the time when people actually meet in person the distrust and hate fade. I like that Trump has the nuts to go to N Korea and meet with "the rocket man" on his own turf. I never saw anyone else with the courage to do so. Especially true of our current basement dweller in chief.

If you look really hard (squint if you have to). There is a forest thru all those trees!

Oh yeah, so courageous. Took some real balls and diplomatic skill to get nothing in return lol. If this was Biden you'd be calling it horrific.

You are mistaken. If bidumb did anything positive at all it would be good. Instead he goes on vacation in his basement, sniffs kids and eats ice cream. Your TDS and lack of knowledge about diplomacy could not be any more obvious. The "take away" is that he stopped nuclear development for some time (till biudumb came along) and behaved himself by discontinuing his threats of rocket launches.
After this i'm done wasting my time w/you. You need to get some straight info and not from watching CNN and listening to NPR radio.
Not my job to educate you.
During the buildup to the Trump-Kim summit in June, North Korea released three American detainees – Kim Dong Chul, Tony Kim and Kim Hak Song — who returned to home on a plane with then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Discontinuing his threats of rocket launches??
You are literally just flat out lying.
Kim Jong Un, from the date of the first summit on June 12, 2018, to the day Trump left office, LAUNCHED, not threatened, no less than ELEVEN ballistic missile tests.
Clinton, Bush, and Obama, all successfully got American prisoners out of North Korea as well without giving Kim a smiling photo op, a salute, and endless praise for his dominance he has over his communist country...and somehow his followers like you still call themselves patriotic...it will never cease to amaze me.

17 Four Star Generals sent this in to the Supreme Court today. If you call yourself a patriot at all, give it a read.
