Analog ECU vs. Digital ECU

Well I have had my 1970 Starcraft Eliminator tunnel out four times this month,the restoration is over, pictures coming next week. What I am curious about is what will a digital ECU do for me versus the analog unit that is stock!
Will it help the idle,running or what. This is all new to me, again, havent had this thing on the water in 19 years. I have seen 79 MPH on the GPS then I said enough. Man what a rush this 2.4 BP is compared to the old 150 inline.

when i swapped over the main thing i noticed is how much quicker the motor started. hardly spins over before it pops right off, even after storage periods.
the other thing is the analog always pulled power when boat was sitting and if you forgot, the battery would be dead.
performance probaly has more to do with which box you have and how it is curved.
