How do you get fuel in these boats? The gas fill is a joke! My boat sits in a boat lift so I will have to fill it with 6 gallon cans most of the time and it's almost impossible. I had to remove the fairing and pull the fill tube off and put the gas directly in the tank. This is also a pain as the fill hole is at an angle.
This was my first weekend with the boat, but putting gas in it sucks!

Q-shot The best thing you can do is put a fill hole right in the plastic tank. They make a piece to do this with. You can call Wally, he will tell you what you need. Good Luck Dave

the stvowners site. I believe there was a thread and even pictures of what people had done.
Good thing those drag motors are so good on fuel, otherwise it would be a real pain!!!!!!!!

I just filled my Euro for the first time on the water today. It took 20 min to do 5 gallons! Terrible!
Here are a couple ways to do it:

I won't fill on the water again untill I get an on-the-tank filler hole.

"Q" shot relax man, Just need a little mod to make it simple. Keep the stock filler in place for those times on the trailer, and add this Jaz fuel cap to your tank. There are other means to add a filler to the tank , but this is the cleanest. This photo was on the STV owners site, as the topic was discussed there a couple of weeks back. Jegs P/N 547-350-201-06 $36.99 If you need more help, send me an E:mail, and I'll dig up the thread which explains the complete install.

Boy I know that feeling..don't laugh but what we've done and had success with is taking the gas can and putting a rubber hose in it and the other end in the fill, blowing into it and letting it siphon into the tank.

I see I'm not the only one with this problem!

I use 5 gal cans w/a 3' hose attached to the end of it, and shove that down the gas opening before pouring. I have mine on a lift often, and even at that angle, it doesn't spill (if you shove it in there about 1').

I put the Jegs in as well....

It seems to be the best option but still a bit of a pain as the rear fairing won't stay up. I take it out to do the job.
