I have a 300r coming for my 22 Velocity. I am looking at using a capalano helm and a 12" Porta bracket. What is the best steering ram to use on a non wingplate engine?
Thanks in advance
Steve

I love my Seastar Pro on the 300xs although I am not sure how that would translate to the 300R with more torque and weight???

Uflex UC130-SVS, using that on my Progression with a 300XS but I'm also using a Uflex 2.0 SVS helm, shouldn't make a difference though as the Capilano is adjustable.

It is 1500 PSI and the fittings enter the cylinder on side which makes for a cleaner install.

Hey Steve,

I second the U Flex cylinder suggestion. Nice clean and heavy duty link arm.

I have the Uflex on my sons STV and the Sea Star tournament series on my Tri Toon with the 300R. Both work well, the toon has the sea star power assist as well which I love.

Hey Steve, Joe above has first hand referral. I have only installed on bass boats. I believe the manufacture rating is more important to you then my endorsement. That being said. It think it will suit you well.

Nice paint.

I absolutely prefer the link rod on u Flex over the slides and bushings of the sea star. I don't know if the sea star mentioned above is new and different then their past systems.

I have a 300R coming for my 20' Lake and Bay and went with the Mercury power steering system.
