Not up on the new Mercury outboards. I have twin 225 mercury pro max outboards with Mayfair side ram steering with Capilano helm. What would be involved with swapping out to four strokes regarding gauges, steering etc? When you buy these motors is steering built in to motors. Prolly would go with twin 200-250s. Lead time is one year plus?

You can buy CMS mids and keep your steering if rams are same length / shifters/ harnesses dont need to change much but motors. If you buy AMS mids you would have built in steering and DTS so you would have to change out all the rigging electronic shift etc.

Thanks. Cms motors would seem to be the way to go

CMS and Mechanical is the simplest. Also, if you don't already have 14-pin harnesses and smartcraft, I would recommend upgrading that portion also.
