245 carb vs 225 pro max

I have read where the 260 & 280 have both acceleration & top end all over the pro max. How does the 245 carb compare, especially holeshot, with the 225 pro max?
Is the 245 more reliable than the 260 & 280?

A 245 is basically just a 260 with carbs. Makes the same power on top as a 260. It isnt quite as smooth on take off as an efi. A 225 PM would likely be about the same as a 245 on the low end and then the 245 would take it in the mid and top end. As for reliability, my 245 has been great. I have heard people complain about the reliability of both motors. I feel both are reliable. I prefer carbs because there is less to go wrong, but the throttle response is always going to be a bit better with an EFI.
