I am new to this site ,and hope someone may be able to help my cooling problem > I have 25 foot hydrasports center console that I fish the gulfstream in. I have noticed my port motor running hot on temp guage but no hot horn alarm sounding I replaced the thermastats and it still runs hot also I just recently bought this bought from a friend who says it had water pumps recently it pees equal to starboard motor and is a tad bit warmer of a stream should I replace the whole water pump and housing ?I am lost also it only runs hot on the muffs and while trolling as soon as i go on plane it cools right down on the guage any advice thanks

Very often when water pump kits are installed a o-ring is left out or peeled back, but on the 25 inch split line lower unit the wrong kit is used. The kit looks the same as on the 20 inch standard engine except the one you need would not have a bleed hole in the housing. You need kit number 5001595 not 5001594, hope this helps.
