We are buying a house on Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama. Trying to get a feel for what the performance boat scene is on the lake, hard to tell being that its winter time and there isnt much boat traffic on the lake other than fisherman. Anyone here use the lake or live on it?
Thx, Walt
We have a cabin on Lake Martin. Most of the boats I see are pontoons, wakeboard, and Bass boats.

Oh god......wakeboard boats.....run, run far away! Or buy the biggest bumpers/fenders your dock can handle.
We're lucky to not have these wake monsters in the lakes up here but, since they became popular they are terrorizing just about every style of boater out there with 4ft waves back and forth all day

Least a bass boat you can hotrod and fish lol
I've seen on different FB pages races and rallys around Alabama. There is several large Bass Tournaments on lake Martin that will have a field of 100+ boats.

I'm on Neely Henry lake, just a stones throw away. Seen same here as JBS stated, pontoons, pontoons, and more pontoons. No one seems to have even heard of a tunnel boat, let alone have seen one. Got to admit that some of the bass boats get up and fly.
