my 2.4 bp has a 2 hole lowerunit on it runs hot at upper rpms can it be drilled uot or can i add more holes to it tankkkkkksss

Check the gaskets under the water pump plate, sometimes they blow out. That would let the water bypassthe pump, not getting pressure. Or you could just switch lowers with WATERWINGS :D
A good two-hole unit will run nice and cool. Put a light up one of the holes. On some units Mercury drill them incorrectly and the two holes intersect before they get to the 1/2-inch passage. This only leaves a tiny hole for the water to get through. I have seen a few like this.
