Read my plugs

As the title says, please read my plugs and tell me what you can. I am trying to figure out if my jetting is good, lean, or rich. And if the heat range of the plug is good. I run 40:1 premix oil. These plugs have been run for two seasons. I experienced a miss at WOT this year. All electronics are new (boxes, stator, etc), I think it's fuel or carb related. Also I'm trying to get the last few mph out of this 94 150hp 2.0 Mariner. The main jets are currently .62 in wmh31 carbs.

It is very hard to read surface gap plugs, put in a set of std gap plugs or read the piston dome. Also you need to run wot for 1-2 min and shut the key off to get proper reading.

there are some good threads on here regarding reading plugs.. the Most accurate methods will require cutting the threads away to see the porcelain base

Plug reading you need to run at WOT for a while and cut ign at WOT to do a read. As was said surface gap plugs are tough to read. Checking piston wash should also be done at same time. Not sure why you are running 40:1 mix unless you are turning over 7000rpm. for the cost try a new set of plugs.

Put a set of BUHW in it, make sure the conductors (TCW wire) / boots are perfect, try again.

Maybe switching to 50:1 would give it more power? Less oil and more fuel.

PLUGS look pretty good to me, 40/1 oil mix, fine. i wouldnt mess with it. i have the same motor.
