Tried a few more props. 32 Promax ran 90.8 but was on the limiter at 6450 rpm.

Randy,
How did the boat (and you) like the Pro Max? I'm struggling with props for my Progression 22 with a 250R and the 30" Pro Max sounds like it might be the ticket.

If you don't jack the motor at least 1" above the bottom, it will be a bitch to drive

Nice
That's impressive pushing that heavy boat that fast. How does that compare with the other motors that were on that boat? Just curious but how does that single axle trailer pull?

Accelerates much better than any other motor. This is the first new boat I ever bought bare and rigged and painted myself. That was in 2000. The single axel tows perfect and is easier to move around when unhooked. I was on a budget back then, so it's not as fancy as I use now.

That's kind of the problem (a bitch to drive) I have now with a Bblades Blaster. I can't go any higher than this and still get water to the motor.

Square aluminum tubing 3x3 thick wall, add offset raise motor;)
That's a very narrow pad flip it over make it 10 10.5 inches:cheers:
It will be a lot easer to drive and faster
I wonder how that 300r would run on those 21 and 24 checkmates you used to sell?

That should be fine. Run it as high as water pressure will allow. I don't have tabs and chinewalk is not a problem as long as you get the motor high. If you run it too low, the chinewalk will be crazy!

The 300XS would always hit the limiter at 96 with a 28 Trophy. I ran a 30 Promax once and hit 98.4, but it took a while to get there. I'm sure the 300R would run 100 with the same setup.

Gotta remember those Sportys are much larger in diameter than the 3.0 uses. I did see a set of 300 Verados for sale that had 3.0 sportys on them.
Randy.... How much water pressure you see at speed?

I was running 10-12. Could have gone a little higher but I was already on the limiter at 6450

What PSI will it guardian?

Usually 7-8, but the temp horn kicks in first at 185-190

These motors don't seem to run much water pressure. Mine rarely gets above 12-13 psi at any speed (or height) and usually is between 10-12.

When I lower the motor 1/2", it has 30 lbs of water pressure.
