Can anyone tell me the difference between these 2 ProMax motors? Anyone upgrade from one to the other and notice any gains? Thanks

While were at it how about the differences between a 200ProMax and the 225ProMax? I know 25hp, but how?

We have a winner!

Balzy your boat knowledge never siezes to amaze me. I don't know why I don't just email you privately with all my questions! HAHAHAHAHA.

I'm with Balzy, maybe they are just on the "XXX" bandwagon or something.

Nic, thats for the feedback it is for a buddy.

Hi Brad,
I do know that on Virages both Mark Soliman and myself only lost 6 mph switching from 260's to 225 PM's. (106 to 100). Life is good now!! I know this didn't answer your question but might help someone that's comparing to 260's. Don't forget the 40 amp charging!!

Thats probably good feedback for some. I think unless your a speed demo, the comforts of that ProMax for 6 mph are not bad. I know you like yours.

On the other hand, some guys will spend a lot of money to get
6 mph. Wonder how many mph I will pick up from my 2.4 200 to my 2.5 245?

Thats an awesome 100 mph package ya got there.

i hear that the x motor makes about 240 hp. the x also has a center horn and most likely different porting and computer. i don't know if a pro max can be converted or not. i'm sure someone on here knows its just that the right person hasn't seen this thread. regards tim

My understanding is that converting a PM225 to a PM225X would involve swapping out pretty much everything above the mid-section.
