Just wanted to throw out my personal experience over the years with Mr. Carson......... Chris has not only provided products for me that were great but he has also gone out of his way to help me with reeds, stuffers, head bolt studs, ect that were custom for me in order to help make what I wanted, work the way I wanted it to. He has sent me some prototype parts & he didn't want to even HINT about money till he knew they were what was needed & QC passed the test! Had a minor issue once & he made it right strait away! Beyond the performance parts over the years, he has also coached me through issues when I was a Newbie all the way till two days ago, again LOL. I am not trying to advocate the fact that if you call him he will make/have whatever crazy part you want but through the years I have found it easier to ask if it can be done, budgets in mind. Worst he ever could say was no.....not sure I've heard that yet.

CCMS & other old school vendors/people here are the reason I still luv this site as much as I did when I started almost 14yrs ago.....FK I'm getting old

No, I am not sucking up to him, nor did he know I was ever going to post this but we never hear about the good chit anymore and that's my .02

Thank you!!! I have yet one more MAJOR X-flow build that I am near the point of putting together.....received 3 different, I would say "custom" packages from Chris for it and they were spot on, as usual! This one is a special piece & I have contemplated putting the build on this site to document it but I hate feeling like someone that is pretty much showing off.....I'm sure others may not see it like that but this is my impression when I post a cool ass motor on S & F. I also understand that sharing it with the world may help with people gaining more knowledge on that particular motor design they might be looking for but even more the reason I don't want to post pics, measurements, ect during the build is the F-ing "Keyboard Mafia" that constantly tries to correct you, say your mods are garbage, tell you it won't run, that you are a moron, and that they are the best motor builders on the PLANET!! It pisses me off & on several occasions that happened, I asked them how many of these particular motors they have built.....guess what the answer usually was!!!!? I remember one of the builds I was told the thing won't run for chit.....yet I spun that motor (mind you with an odd fire crank) to 8500+rpms. Just not worth the aggravation......it sucks that technology has made pussies into pimps :icon_bs:

Let em suck eggs. Post the build. I can't even spell OMG but I love seeing extreme builds and the genius behind them. Gotta keep learning.

I have a serious case of covid. I have all the details in a thread titled "covid took a bite outta me" in hot topics/politics section.

Schramer, that's quite a few votes, plus one more here to put the motor build up. I love building my own winter projects and seeing how others do theirs.....to hell with the know it all asswipes!

I will seriously think about it....I'm not sure I will be putting it together this winter but if not, next winter for sure! I may just post several pics of all the parts, assembly, and details of some of the things I am trying to do with this motor. If leaving out the intake/exhaust port timing measurements and a few "experimental" details I may be able to keep the trolls at bay! If I throw it up here, I will prob build it and get it running before I start the thread, which will consume a good amount of time as I like talking to good peeps on here as much as being locked in the garage. Plus it will already be running so nobody sayin IT WONT WORK haha!

For the record/I’ve had running for about almost a yr. now/just can’t get the efi computer to flow injectors/it’ll fire if I prime it by flowing (each injector)with a 9v battery/for about 5sec. Each cylinder/it fires n sounds good/but there was alotta meticulous welding done when I got screwed with water pump about 9yrs. Ago/n buying all the welding material and meticulously cutting n welding new 4043 aluminum in spots that needed it and all the surrounding material that needed to be built up was a very meticulous job to save this thing.but it’s done n carbs are going back on cause having the air silencer on it is what I prefer anyway/kinda like the idea of better gas mileage (possibly)with fuel injection but it’s just not co/operating and carbs are going back on/so I’m waiting for jets now.

Chris Carson and his family are awesome people and an immense benefit to our community. I have always heard nothing but endless praise for Chris and he's just a heck of a nice guy too. If anybody gives anyone a hard time here, report it and I'll handle it - for whatever reason.

BTW....we recently tested a new set of reeds for a 3.3L ETEC and added some stuffers to boot......the reeds helped but we were short one stuffer so we ran the motor without the stuffers and then added them the next week for testing. Definitely a positive result and well worth the money!!! Chris is a bad azz cause he will test any idea he has to help everyone and then finds a way to make AFFORDABLE parts that people can install in their garage/driveway without having to tear the motor down, plus things like stuffers will add crankcase compression and at the same time not screw up any linkages or settings from before.
