Hello guys!I got a deal on a LU case (i think) but i dont no if it s a good one. It looks like a CLE but the water inlet are on the upper side of the bullet. Is it better then a CLE,do you think the internal parts of the CLE fits in it and how do you think it worth.
THANKS Martin:cool:

This case COULD be an old preload pin ModVP case. It came from Merc with a resin nose cone molded on, but to meet the racing rules of the time, the water pick ups were in the stock location, but were modified. Only preload pin type inards will fit. Not good.
Alternately it could be a stock case of ????year, with an aftermarket nosecone and who know what it might fit.
Look under the water pump housing and see which way the top drive shaft bearing cup is facing. If it is facing with the V up, it is definately a preload style and you don't want it.
Hope this helps.
