Ring help please

I am putting a 2.4 together and it has 2 steel sleeves in it. I have 6 sets of rings for chrome cyls. I heard that you can run these in a steel sleeve without any trouble. Is this so?

Cast rings in chrome cylinders and chrome rings in cast cylinders. That is how it needs to be.

They will work but they will ware out fast.
