another FICHT recall

BMC dealers have been issued a saftey recall notice for 75-250 hp Evinrudes. "These units have a defective fuel manifold assembly that was supplied to Bombardier by an outside vendor, which could potentially cause a fuel leak." 1600 motors are affected by this recall.

Yes, Its unfortunate for people in the industry when this happens though. The last time they sent one of these recalls out it sent boat owners into a panic. Alot of small dealers that carried OMC did not fair well with the bankrupcy. I just hate to see one of these recalls go out again for the same problem from a completely different part. I have a few leftover fichts 98-01 that I am selling for between 30 and 75 cents on the dollar (dealer cost)the cheapest ones have had some parts removed from them.(If anyone is interested) 150s-175s-200s-225s

I agree wth that 100%. A friend has an OMC dealership and is selling mostly Yamahas. Only a few OMCs. Luckily he had something to fall back on.

this motor is in the crate : 01 175 20" $5896.

the 99 225 on the rack has been used but does not have a lot of time on it.
We are trying to get rid of these motors because we are no longer an OMC dealer and they are out of date. As for the motors missing parts, they are @ a large dealer and well I wont even go there.:mad: The deal with BMC and OMC product warranty : 2000 and up 1 year , 99 and down you are s.o.l. If interested you may want to check on the 00 and up , It has been a while since I talked to anyone at BMC about it.
