HEY GUYS,
ON A MERC V-6 WHATS UP WITH THE RODS.? NEED SOME FEEDBACK ON WHAT AND WHY. I'M THINKIN' SMALLER IS LIGHTER SO IT TURNS FASTER ?? THAT MUCH ? I'M BUILDING A 2 LITER 225. FINGERPORTED BLOCK WITH THE 14 PEDAL REED SETUP. IT'S NOT FOR RACING SO...........WHAT CHA THINK? IT HAD THE BIG RODS WHEN I TORE IT DOWN.

I like big rods. Small rods break, and do damage, large rods don't break and do damage. Either way, things go BANG.:D

Bigger iz better!!! SOMETIMES!!...Dragrace'in= lil rodz....river motor=big rodz...Lil rods are lighter and take up less room in tha case...Big rods are heavier, but stronger and take up more case area!!...To me, tha best ov tha best iz tha new top guide rods...they iz skinny, disturb less air/fuel flow thru rod slots, top guided so tha load stays in tha center ov piston, and are wide enuff ta be stronger than tha small rods...BUT, fer tha ribber, do tha BIG rod thang...Juss my 2 centz...REX:cool:
