...been there. get goosebumps reliving it by watching this. best rush there is. of course its something else, when running on all three. a sit-down offshore sucks, but it is what it is. kills your back & everything else. the merc 2.4's & 2.5's thrive at w.o.t. & they did it for decades in offshore. the reese's cup kid, aka Jerry Hale, designed THE best V-6 outboard ever. here they are, running on all three... https://youtu.be/EPmmo7IZPS8

Brutal. Gotta give those guys credit for hanging in there. Years ago I did runs like that. The physical punishment and the abuse the equipment takes is hard to believe. Glad I had the experience and lived. No need to do that anymore.

We threw this package together at the last minute to run the worlds. We were running 2.4s and 1 2.5 in the center. Boat was/is still rock solid.

...you cannot imagine what a center motor on this type of cat, goes through, in offshore conditions at wide-open throttle, unless you hear it...and see it, first hand...

I would suggest getting an Air Ride Seat manufacture as a sponsor on your race boat.
Air suspension, that is how truck drivers roll 24/7.

We won the worlds until 5 days after Carbonnel reversed our protest against the first place boat who was running thru hull water pickups ( legal in super stock not legal In Prostock). The referee at the time was Mike Drury who had his inspectors confirm the illegal setup and awarded Team Pancrecarb the Championship. Decision was reversed because the protested boat was High Risk with Felson. Drury found out the decision was reversed because Felson who insured the race with his high risk insurance company threatened to never insure Carbonnels future races. Drury quit SBI and we never saw the trophy. Carbonnel and Felson real white trash POSs. If you know Felson ask him how he got that 2000 world championship trophy. The politics of racing.
