I ran my boat with the motor I built this weekend for first time. That thing is ungodly strong! I just wanted to thank everyone for the advice they gave me over the past 9 months or so. Thanks to all the guys who I emailed and called. I know I bugged the **** out of you (Trex, Noah, Jay) Anyways hopefully I'll give you guys a break (maybe it will stay together) Look out next winter cause I plan to build another!
Thanks again

I have a vector with a steel sleeve 2.4. Dont ask me what year the motor is cause I dont know and cant get and numbers that matter off the block. The exaust ports are around 1.57 or so, I dont remember intake height but I think it was like 2.18 maybe. The cylinders had some spots in the bottom that had never sleeves matched to the ports so I cleaned that up. Exaust chest is cut but not hogged out (tear drop style) and base is opened. Motor also has 2 way slots.
I switched from 7 petal to 5 petal (decked .050 and all casting flaws removed and beed blasted) Had pistons opened (thank you jsre) and piston and rod assembles lighted and balanced.
I swithed from 1750 adapter and tuner to 200 style. Matching it to base of block, it self, and tuner. Then polished the hell out of it. Im running light weight flywheel, Wh-22s (for now), 4 petal blocks and reeds. I took a good bit of metal out of intake dont know how it works compared to other so dont ruin one trying it!
Anyways with a 26 chopper it about rips the seat out of the boat from 2500-4000. Thats where it was a dog before. Still breaking in so I'll let you know when I get close to 7500. I still havent seen the other side of 5k.
