i told him and his father that we would like to help

his father said he would like it handled in this manner for those who wish to send cards and donations to mike.................

his father is taking care of mikes affairs while he recuperates and
he will be the one in charge of getting any donations into mikes account, for checks sent to mike he will have mike endorse them, put for deposit only below his signature and deposit them in his account, his parents are here for as long as mike needs them to be

as i expected, he said please be discreet and not post his address on the world wide web, however for those that wish to contribute and/or send cards and so forth send me a private message and i will reply with the information (these are his fathers wishes for us to follow)

his parents want to extend their gratitude to those who have been concerned for his well being

when i saw mike today he was doing pretty fair and said thanks to all you guys for thinking of him!!!
he is getting tired of not being home yet ;) but has a ways to go on his recovery, when i asked what happened he said he has no recolection of what happened, i asked if there was anything i could do at his house for him, he said yeah could ya fix the feet on thewashing machine so they can do laundry :) i said you got it buddy, thats why i'm a bit late posting the info :)

he sustained some pretty severe injuries but as requested by his father i will tell ya this much, his right arm as you may have read was broken, his left arm is not fully mobile, he had neck injuries and a few other things but is doing good considering

as per friends of his on the lake who read these threads, they asked...... please do not turn this one into anything other than it's intended content and well wishing :)

one of the niehbors had mowed the lawn, and another is taking care of titan his dog, the house looked fine but a saturday cleanup as xstreamed and H2Onut said would be cool in a week or so, sounds like a good idea to me, i'll look into that

i was talking with rickracer last night and his raffle idea is still a good one, and at the end of it all we have to do is mail the proceeds to mike for his father to deposit, rick said he would work that out soon

it will be a long time before mike is working again, so every little bit helps, while i was there working on the washer i needed a piece of paper to leave a note for his dad, i went to the computer desk to get one and he had no printer that i saw, but he had pics of the gathering of all the hot boats that were in attendance that day laying on his desk :) he sure loved to have us all over to his place :cool:

i saw mike yesterday, we talked about toys of his going up for sale, and merc parts for sale he has, i will be posting some in the misc parts forum later

he has no use of his left arm, has neck brace on due to severe injuries there and corrective surgery, right arm has been operated on and fixed up and expected to recover with full use

he's still spunky and looking forward to his recovery time being as fast as possible, he got a pass to goi home for a few hours but had to return to the physical therapy center

we discussed the future, and sales of his boat parts, airboat and trucks

he's still in rough shape but better than he was the last time i saw him

Sorry to hear of the injuries, was it boat related?

yes it was boat related, his allison was capable of 105 speeds, he is a good driver but we all face unforseen stuff playing like we do, no details on the mishap, he does not remember what happened

everyone be safe out there, he was wearing his life vest with the kill switch hooked up, just be carefull out there

ive seen wierd stuff happen to folks, hell i stuffed the talon in the keys, happened in a split second with no time to react

who knows what will come our way ;)

got a call tonight from mike, i will see him this weekend, gonna go over some stuff with him and his father.

i asked if he had gotten any cards or letters from any scream and flyers and he said no

he is still in some pain with his neck, chances of any left arm usage is 20 percent or less according his family, he still cannot lift his right arm, may have rotator cuff damage also on top of what they already did to repair that arm, gonna do more x-rays and see if surgery is needed for that

he's still in a neck brace from the neck injury, will have that for awhile, he had surgery on that and the vertibrae have
been fused together, will have limited movement of his neck when healed

he's in good spirits and determined to get better

i will see him today again to help with some clean-up he wants done around the house before he goes to a new therapy center

it was tough to watch him look at his boat yesterday, it was the first time he has seen it since the accident, not much to say on that

we discussed alot of stuff, present and future, discussed stuff with his mother and father, the spirits are good but gonna be a long road to travel toward recovery

i will be posting parts he wants to sell in misc parts soon with pics so he can get some needed $$ in the bank to cover bills so if your in the market for the stuff posted for sale it will help him out, EDIT: the stuff sold fast waiting for payment on some stuff, still have the 3 ram intergral trim clamp for sale in misc parts
