OK who out there has had problems with these useless plastic drainplugs that leak like crazy....and how did you fix the problem.
If I put my boat in for an hour it takes on water throught these worn out plugs. No matter how much you tighten them they still leak. What are the replacement alternatives?

Three plugs all plastic with threads worn.

These are threaded things and not the rubber compressive type?
The only thing I can suggest besides yanking and replacing is to wrap teflon pipe tape on them. Put on enough and it should seal.

Something very critical though is just how these were bonded in. If they were slobbered up and stuck in the hole chances are you have raw wood exposed to water. I wood yank them out and replace with the regular tube kind. If the tubes are left proud and not put flush you can use the duck bills if you like them. Otherwise the simple flap- push it down to lock, drain plugs where your not spinning them out.

New O-Rings, replace the o-ring seals on the thread insert, or replace the entire unit, they are usually screwed into the hull....
