Shy Bridgeport

I have a 2.4EFI bridgeport, that idles great and revs fully in netral, but will not advance beyond 1000 rpms in gear until driven several miles. It will come back with a little jolt (power increase) for a second or two. After those grueling miles she starts to cut in and gives me the full 7K. Is this some sticky choke issue or perhaps something with the electronics. Has anyone had a simular issue?

If it runs better when hot, your trigger wires migth be hard, getting soft when they warm up. To check this out give it full gas, not runing and look to see if the ignition gets to the stop screw.
