So we’ve been working on this build for the last couple weeks. 21 Superboat from LI shipped to the USVI. It will be a dinghy style with a 115 tiller. No benches. Just open. Bean bags for seats.

She’s been gutted and just laid in the new stringer grid. Marine ply stringers. Double 3/4” transom. Deck is raised 6”

Nidacore deck should lighten it up a good bit

Next task is figuring out fuel tanks and hatches. We built the transom super strong so we can put a 300 on it later.

thanks

I bought with a rotted deck. Sold it to a guy named Aldo that has since past away.

Is it just me or is the black spots in the bottom rotten balsa?

So we decided to just built another 42 gallon tank, 1/2 of the length but twice the height.

Center tank, storage hatch behind the tank, storage hatch in front of the tank, and the bilge hatch.

This looks like it’s going to be awesome!

Very cool build. How about drain holes or passages at the bottom of the Vee so water can't get trapped?

Keep the weight down for best performance. I put a 42 galleon plastic fuel tank in one and it was a good move. When you do a floor always nice to put a center wood floor down that can be removed easy if ever need to get to gas tank again later on.

You found a nice one to restore.

Good luck finishing.
