2.4 EFI BP Starting Question

On my 1988 2.4 EFI BP when cold starting I must open the throttle plate at least half way or it wont start. After it is warmed up up it will start at normal idle. Is there some kind of an enrichment circuit in the analog box that causes this, and, can it be bypassed if their is one. It sure would be nice to hit the key and be able to fire this motor up without the half throttle trick.

Take the yellow with red striped wire that comes out of the EFI loom off of the starter solenoid. This is the enriching circuit. Hook it up to the push choke on the key switch or a separate button on the dash supplying 12 VDC to it when pushed.
