HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR TO FIND OUT WHAT PISTONS YOU HAVE


98 2.5 I DONT KNOW ???

AND IF I DONT WHAT RPM CAN THIS MOTOR BE RUN AT WITH OUT HURTING IT ?

Post a close up of the under side of the pistons and one of us will tell you.

US1 ITS A 98 2.5 260HP I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW POWER HEAD LAST YR FROM MERC COMPLETE ???

It most likely has Mercury Wiseco pistons in it. It will turn over 10,000 RPM however anything over 8000 RPM stuff wares and breaks much faster.
