Hey all my 300x is running poorly at idle. 135lbs compression, 40lbs fuel, new plugs to spec, new reeds, injectors serviced. Took to merc dealer and they say no codes and issue is not a cylinder missing but they say its running lean at idle only. They say that is proven by slightly covering the throttle body clears up the problem.

There is a throttle plate adjuster thats covered in blue thread locker and was told they werent allowed to adjust that due to EPA regs. Anyways I was looking for the adjustment procedure for the throttle plate. Thanks in advance.

It’s in the service manual and they can adjust it

Im brigning this back up. My motor (300x) developped a sneeze while ideling under 1000rpm when out of gear. reeds are new, rubber on cages is removed, injectors are clean. Plugs are good, i had the ql77pp plus last year and went with br8hs this year. Didnt change anything.

The problem seems to go away when i press slightly on the throttle blade to close it a bit more. I read the throttle opening gap should be 0,022". Linkages arent adjustable so how do you go at this? Theres a screw with the blue locktight on it..is this the one?
