Just checked my squish.
0.039 intake side
0.046 exhaust side. Using 2 pieces of solder.
225 Promax.
What ya think?

I think that piston rock is not a accurate measurement of piston to head clearance. You could call it .0425
Or you could use one piece of solder directly (parallel) above the "gudgeon" pin to get a true reading ... :thumbsup:

Are you saying to stick the solder in at 12;00 or 6;00?

To calculate the Squish accurately and correctly you need to use a Deck Height Gauge perpendicular to the wrist pin. Add the two together divide by 2 + the gasket thickness or on oring heads the Counter bore pocket depth. If Not I always preferred Plasti gauge over Lead wire Youll see a variation of up to .008 ths on most engines.
