Blow out ring question!!

I’m currently testing out props trying to find the right one.. I ran A 26 pitch trophy plus prop today and was running 6100-6200 rpm. My question is... will putting the exhaust ring on the prop lower my top end rpm? I know Without it.. it helps slip for a hole shot but if I use the ring will it lower my RPM on the top?

No, it will not effect how the prop runs once the boat is on plane. Only affects hole shot and at how low of a speed boat will fall off plane.
