1985 Ranger 335V with 115 OMC. As stated in previous post, changing from burned up Merc 115 to the OMC. Adding 6 inch jack plate and shallow water anchors. With the additional weight on the stern, what prop would you start with? 3 blade or 4? Bow lift or stern? Need your knowledge for a starting point. Thought I would start at 3" below the pad. Thanks!

Shallow water anchors add weight far back and up high, worst possible spot. Get a trolling motor with gps lock if you want to go fast with small power...

Not the motor to go fast, I just want to get the best performance I can with what I have. Not a bad idea though with the TM.

No one will b able tell u 3 or 4 blade. That will b a experiment. With omc. I'd say get a raker (3 blade) then a know good 4 blade and test. 4 blade prob give better stern lift. 3 blade prob better bow lift , but custom 4 blade could b the ticket

I'll 2nd the Raker. Probably your best starting point.

Nitro, thanks for the suggestion, we decided to go with the TM instead. Works shallow or deep. Now without the added weight, does this change any suggestions. I have an 85 Laser basser with an Evinrude 115 and a 22" Turbo 4 blade. Wish it was a 21, but will probably start with that and see what happens. Ranger is a much much heavier boat though. At least it is a start. I dont know if the Ranger responds to bow or stern lift better.
