It wont blow over at 60 70 ,but your going to have to trim up some to fly it till about 80 or so maybe 90 or so then start trimming down to bring front down with your foot into it , i drive my 22 twister this way and its all golden ,if i dont fly it first it gets out of shape

Man I struggled with this exact thing for months. Then one day I “accidentally” powered through the hop zone without even noticing. On mine, it doesn’t seem to matter if you’re trimmed high or neutral, I just have to hold it wot. It starts hopping at 70 and stops around 80.

Yes, you can bounce, power wheelie it over backward at slower speeds. When i first got my 25' Motion ... I wanted my 21' Superboat back .... :o
Best thing I did was move the batteries as far forward under the front deck as I could. Some guys even put the trim pumps upfront as well.
Now that I think about it, I got rid of the 5.5" CMC jack plates and made my own 2" plates as well.
Running around cruising at part throttle below the "hop zone" you can trim up to prolong the start of the hop ... but that's it ..!
The only way I found to get the 500 pound a piece motors on top was to put my
(1 thru 10 with 5 being level with the bottom) trim indicators on 4 - 4.5 and drive it straight to where it wouldn't pull anymore RPM and then trim to 5- 5.25 and roll the wheel either one way or the other just a little to start a slight arc, which helps the hull break free of the water. Once you feel it free up, you can straighten the wheel and go for a ride .. ;) Boat traffic coming the other way, wakes, waves, that put you back in or below the hop zone .. it's time to start the process all over again. I've gotten lazy and said to myself .. ahh, I can leave it at 5 and just power thru it.
Nope, about 65 MPH it starts to wheelie, can't stay up, so it comes down, bounces even higher on the next one. I have no doubt that by the fourth or fifth bounce it would throw me out the back.
Little boats with no torque might need to do everything they can to get on top. Not the case with heavy motors and a ton of torque. Let them drive the back end up first (flat) and then add a little trim to put it on top.
Never less than 4 or more than 6 on the trim ...... never !

It's called send it and quit being a pussy.

You can only do that with a small cat, big motors, when it's low on fuel with your buddy twenty feet off to your side at 100+ and ya only have had him covered by a bow light at best, for the last six miles ... :D

Sometimes knowledge is hidden behind sarcasm, pain, and financial hardship....some stupidity maybe but we can over look that a little bit.

That picture is so, so wrong. The beer is not supposed to be on the ground next to the fire, it should be in a cooler on ice.

My 21 Daytona tops out at just under 90, hops from around 72-73 to 80 or so. I can just power through it, but annoying not to have that seed range available. I am told that putting trim tabs at the back top of each tunnel will help--no acting on water, acting on the air exiting the tunnels. Of course mine is a pod tunnel, I assume the 23 is as well but don't know.

Randy at Liberator puts tabs on all his 21 and 22's. I have a 22 Liberator with a 300r. The tabs work, you have to learn how to use them. If you tab down when the hop starts, then it stops until the boat raises up as speed lifts it, then it hops again, so you have to tab down a little more for them to effect the attitude, once the boat gets up on top around 75-80, then you need to remember to raise the tabs up so when you slow down they don't dig in and cause problems once the boat slows down and gets lower in the water. I really never use them, either I power straight through it, or you can try putting you boat into a slight right turn if you have the room, believe it or not it will slow down or stop the hop, once its flattens straighten back out.
