We live in a time of us against them, both sides of the coin are to blame, you can twist any article to your needs...

So distrust is sown into our fabric now, which complicates everything, there are no easy answers...

A leading infectious disease Dr. should have been put in place long ago, It's obvious now we can become decimated, by more than

guns, bombs, it's really sad it had to come to this to wake many people up, ( If it actually does) so often in life, we are our own worst enemy.

I for one was in the REALLY camp, of course, we were not privy to all the information, till it was too late.

Obviously. They are set up for "trauma" so they will take the trauma load from local hospitals to free up beds for coronavirus patients... but if this was a real crisis those extra 1,000 beds would be like pissing in the ocean. New York has 53,000 beds, California has 74,000... plus 1,000 each in the two hospital ships.

You really don't want to put infectious disease patients on a ship... the whole crew will be sick in a few days.

By the time they deploy one in early April the other ?

I guess the hospitals will be over loaded.

Just politics. Trump sent Newsom & Cuomo (two of his biggest, loudest critics) each a hospital ship because they were both begging for them... now they are both on their knees with their mouths wide open (praising Trump's response). LOL

Dave here we go again political lies to fit your narrative, all Cuomo said it's about time the Feds are doing SOMETHING but it's not enough, giving money away does not fix anything, more like giving a kid a lollipop to kept them shut up, as stated above the first ship will not come on line till April the other who knows, in for repairs...

My dad had a History / Political Science degree from Syracuse U 1938

One of his favorite sayings was history repeats itself, how true...

My narrative is that Trump's two loudest critics are now praising him because he agreed to send them each a hospital ship that will make absolutely no difference. Trump = winning, period.

All trump cares about is his public image the PR man in chief. He made one statement after long talks on the phone, I'm sure trump asked him to be nice and he will help Coumo more, bottom line it took everything to fall apart to get him involved, now catch up is impossible, maybe if it hits your home you will wake up, I have relatives in Manhattan, I've been told they escaped to there Hampton's house, He is in-charge of the gaming division for Goggle.

NYC... 158 die daily (on average) plus now another 6 due to Covid-19 (53 in 9 days); certainly not a "crisis" at this point.

New York liquor stores were deemed "essential" by the state and will remain open during the slew of shutdowns in response to the coronavirus.

New York liquor stores are considered "essential" and can remain open as employees at other businesses are required to work from home until further notice, according to the New York State Liquor Store Association.
