Mixing 2 stroke oil question, Evinrude-Johnson / Yamalube 2M

Hope this hasn't been beat to death already. Have a 2005 Skeeter SL210 with 200 Yamaha Vmax. The oil reservoir has Yamalube 2M in it. I have a gallon of Evinrude-Johnson Premium TC-W3 Mineral Formula. is it acceptable to add the

Evinrude-Johnson when the reservoir is about 1/2 empty? Thanks,

It supposedly happened a long, long time ago.

That's why the mixability requirement is part of the TC-W3 standard.__PRESENT
