Just putting together My new (to me) setup, I have 15" mid/ single ram clamp that came with a 1 pc adapter and I have the 2pc adapter that came on my Promax that I blew up last season. Which one should I use? I've heard It's a nightmare trying to get cooling right with 1PC so I'm leaning to using the 2pc. Thoughts? any input is appreciated, thanks!

It took me mths to make the same choice. 15 mid, single ram, i went with the 2 pc, didnt want any heating/cooling issues. the 1pc may be stronger but in not ocean racin or need awing plate. the 2pc cant go wrong of course use the short tuner. i had to drill the 3 rear holes in plate 7/16 to match 15 can. 2pc uses 3 3/8'' my 15 can tapped for 7/16-16x

Thanks guys, also anyone happen to know the thread size for the hydraulic lines to the single ram clamp? Near as I can tell measuring inside female threads on the Ram it's .390 so guessing SAE 7/16-20, can anyone confirm this?

Are you in Vegas? What is the high/low of water temps where you boat? It all starts with the range of temps.

Yes I'm in Vegas,
The Mirage, which this motor is going on, I usually only run on the river. Its 50 to 65 degree water temps, depending on what part of the river your on. Lake Mead on the other hand middle summer is like 80 -85 degrees feels like 90. but I try not to run this Hull on the Lake, test hits only because it's 5 min from the house.

Could try to find an original 15” one piece promax adapter.
Ive ran both one piece 280 and early 260 on my 15” promax and also 2 piece promax plates.
I wanted to try my once piece Bridgeport plate on it but sold it.
All have their pluses and minuses
