Anyone have any info on how a Steve Smith 28 cut chopper would run on my Grand Sport? I've heard that a Hoss is hard to beat on the Grand Sport. I wasn't sure how the Smith cut chopper would compare. Thanks

I bet it would run great. I had a Steve Smith cut 28 small ear chopper when I had an XR4 on my SS2000. I sold it when I went fat shaft.

The fastest I have had the boat now (200XS) is with a Steve Smith worked 28 Trophy but I have hopes for my 28 Triton.

Sorry but I don't see what engine you have, but supposedly the fastest prop for a 2.5 Grandsport is a Merc E.T. The fastest on mine when I had a 2.5 was a ChopperII. Right now with my 300XS I am doing pretty good with a PP 32 Drag 5.

I have yet to run an ET on my SS2000, but if someone wanted to loan one I'd try it. I can't see buying one. It would be a lot less expensive to send an old Chopper to Steve Smith.

His offshore cut chopper is the bomb! I've run choppers, et's, drags, Marco re3, on my SS 2000 with a 245 and promax, offshore cut or hoss triton ran best hands down, I run a 30p offshore and can run over 100mph and still pull a tube with it.
