I’ve bought a 1989 black max 200 oil injection motor and I keep Geri g mixed reviews on to delete the oil injection and not to. I do t know the history of this motor if it has been rebuilt or not but it does run and has 130 in all 6. I will be running it on a hydro voyager so what do you all suggest?

It is a risk factor to run the oil inj. If you put oil in the gas, it is certain. Some can't decide and run both oil in the gas and the oil inj. I remove it on the old mercs.

If plastic gear goes motors right behind it why worry?

Pro marine makes a kit with the parts. Amazon sells them for 12-15 bucks... Plug for the air port on the star side of the engine.

Yes, threaded metal plug or plug the hose. I prefer to use a pipe plug. 3/8'' I think.....In the port.

1/4 inch pipe plug. Unscrew the fitting.

Get rid of it if the motor was ever run hot the system WILL fail.
Do a search on here for oil injection delete or removal, many threads that will walk you through the procedure.
