Hello All,
I'm looking for parts to repair my Kiekhaefer K-planes and am unsure of the model.

The transom plate has a casting # of 107015, the tab has # 107086

They appear to be 280's but I'm seeing various options;
K Plane, 280C (846215A1 / 846215A02)
K Plane, 280S (Trim Tab) (842768A01 / A03 / A04 / A05)
K Plane, 280S (843681A1 / 843682A1 / 843754A2 / 845588A2)

Can anyone point me in the correct direction? Thanks in advance!

Let me take a guess. These are the 280-S K-Planes. Do they look like these?https://www.mercuryracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/K-Plane-Trim-Tabs.png

If they are, what parts are you looking for exactly?

Hello Fujimo, thanks for the reply. Yes those are the photos and diagrams I found on my searches. I need the ram and the lower pin. I compared the parts on each version and most parts overlap, except the ram and pin I need. That's why I was hoping someone may know by the casting numbers. I'll call a few suppliers Monday and hopefully they can narrow it down. Thanks again.

Well, there were 5 different rams used on the 280's alone. Depends on whats available now, if your matching an opposite ram(cylinder) or not, and what you want to pay. The plates themselves have always been more or less the same, all these years, so nothing to consider there. The first cylinders used on the 280's, back in the 70's where the in-line six Mercury outboard trim cylinders. The second cylinder used was a two-piece design that came apart in halfs to rebuild, that Kiekhaefer made. The third design was used the longest & the most common & in the photos above. The fourth design is what they currently use...and the fifth version is an all stainless, polished cylinder, as an optional cylinder from Kiekhaefer & has been an option for 25 or so years.

This is what is called the lower pin "grip kit"... Note that the black plastic indicator cable threaded "grips" say Hubbell on them. They are sourced from Hubbell & are actually an electrical part...but work well. You buy & install this "kit", with the longer lower s.s. pins, only if you are using a dash installed indicator panel, so that you can attach the indicator cables to them. Very commonly used.http://www.marineengine.com/parts/images/mercury/845630A02.jpg
