I picked up a couple of Johnson 300's from Houston and need to move them off the trailer. What size is the lifting EYE that bolts through the flywheel? I have looked online and am not seeing anything for the V8 - Just the V6 stuff.
Thanks!

That is what I ran across on my search - I wasn't sure if it would lift the V8 or not. Thank you.

Std OMC factory lifting eye works fine. Not sure I like the sm amount of threads on the above lifting eye, however if it was tested a 2500 lbs you should be ok.

Made my own for my v6. I have about $10 into it if I had to put a price on it. I just had all the material laying around the shop so I whipped it up in about 20 minutes. Works great.

The V8 uses exactly the same factory lifting eyes (there are actually two different setups) as the V6’s.

I used the factory piece for removing the flywheel with a eye bolt threaded into it. Worked great.
