Looking for a Stereo package for a STV, nothing crazy. A two speaker high quality system is all I need. Any recommendations?? thanks

I had Jack Barsh install a quality stereo in my ETV Euro when he built it. There are (4) 6x9 speakers and the tuner has removable face, bluetooth & CD. To be honest you can't hear the music worth a $&*! with the 3.0L running. If I had it to do again, I would have purchased a quality bluetooth waterproof remote speaker and mounted it on the dash with velcro or something similar and rud if from my cell as that has all the music.

If you want to go simple (like I did), just get a good amp and a bluetooth adapter or just plug an RCA to mini cable into the amp and the phone. I think in today's world of music-on-you-phone a head unit is a waste of dash space. I actually use an old Ipod with a wireless control that goes on the steering wheel and put it in a waterproof case made by Pelican.

Looks like they don't make this any more but you get the idea.

Just another thought...

And BTW I use a switch to turn the amp on via the wire that would go to Ign or the head unit trigger normally since there isn't an Acc position on the Merc key switch.

I just use a bluetooth speaker that I ordered online. I can easily connect my android phone and play whatever music I want from my spotify playlist.

Here is what I put in the Cougar. Fits in the standard Carling V-series rocker switch cutout. Works great wired straight to a 1000w amp with a 12" JL sub a pair of JL 6x9's and a pair of Polk 6x9's.

I will stick with JL Audio marine speakers... I put 4 M6 7.7’s on my 22 mako last spring.. with a 2 channel 400 watt amp.. its clear as hell and ROCKS.
