That's about 300+hp by the sound of it. Big prop, slow windup. Real good driver too. Makes it look easy....

That's a YT correct? That's impressive!

I was able to run 110 with a YT back in the early 2000's with a Drag on pump gas and 30p cleaver. It was sort of weird...at 105 I got so much tail lift I had to start trimming out again! No matter what I did to the motor or set up it would not go faster than 110?

Yes it's a YT. I tried different setback and engine heights and I even made a hatch for it. Never went pass 110. Blimp 112 twice but that could of been with a strong current

I think that curved windshield and all the wetted surface holds the boat back? I tried removing the windshield but it turned it into a whole different boat, I never had the guts to hold it wide open and the wind in your face was horrible! It also was butt ugly! I found 12" of set back really helped the YT.

Modified bottom I think would help, less drag. I tried 6,8,10,12 setback. 6 was 3mph slower then 8. 8,10,12 were all the same speed but 10 was the best handling wise. If I had a better gearcase I bet it would of been near 115 if not better. The Yamaha

My buddy...RIP Bob... added 1" to the pad of his YT and it really helped the boat carry weight better, not a huge speed gain but he was able to run 107 with a modified OMC 200. A couple years ago I restored a YT bowrider and did the same bottom mods. It ran in the mid 90's with a not so strong 260 and it currently runs 90 with a 225 Promax.

Some pics of the bottom work!
