Just currious who out there besides our fellow brothers & sisters in Arms has to work?
I know Kenroc has to because we'll be relieving each other from duty on Sunday. My duty schedule goes like this...
Headcount at the dining facility Friday. (a day pissed away)
Quick Reaction Force Saturday (can stay home, but can't really do ****, no drinking.)
24 hour detail Sunday (starting/ending at 8am. Can't really talk about that one)
Then Monday is off (or is it?) I'd be getting drunk that day but have a PT test on Tuesday !
Makes you want to........................ Kill some terrorists :D
btw, I can say that after a few years in the Military, Memorial Days are meaning more & more to me. To the Vets & the active duty browsing the forums, I understand for the first time in my life.
Here's a photo of a few buddies.

Working now, as I type this I'm waiting on a server to reboot, then later this day I'm going to format one and then have the registery on another to make it aware of the 2nd processor.
Working Sunday from 10:00 until 3:00 making sure the systems are up.
But, I do have Sat night off, Sun night off, and Monday - to work on my stuff, stuff being almost hopless boat and worn out Z car.
But, if I had access to unlimited ammo and a shooting range, and a pair of loaders, sounds like something to do . ;)

We have a down power for one of our units this weekend, power companies plan a lot of outages and down powers over Holiday weekends due to industry being shut down and power demand is lower.
Worked 12 hours last night and 12 againg tonight, I need to be in Antioch working on our boat we retrieved from the bottom of the ILL River.
For those who don't have to work please be safe and have a good time.

but it looks like its going to rain anyway. :(
I used to work at a local marina where the holidays were always very busy. Seeing everyone coming and going in their boats is hard. You want to go with them. Then my friends would come in to say hi. It was always good to see them and bad that I couldn't go with!

First of all, DoubleDog, Kenroc, Sgt Laker and any body else that's REALLY workin' this weekend, workin' to allow me to sit on my butt and read all this, THANK YOU!!!! I know that ain't enough, but if you come through St. Augustine I'll buy you a beer or 6 which is still pitiful thanks for what you do.
Second, I am mostly sittin' on my butt this weekend. The ramps have people parked way out in the streets and you don't really need a boat. You can mostly just step across them. S'posed to be a lot of law dogs out too, and every idiot that can finance a new boat is out there too. Just no fun, so sittin' by the pool soakin' up rays.
Will be out in the boat Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then RBR Friday.

I've got to put in 6 hours over at Auto Zone, then I'm done until Tuesday when I have to go back to my real job and fix everything that's gone wrong over the course of the three day weekend so gas stations don't run out.
Hey Jay, I'll trade ya salt mines :D :D

My weekend is pretty much shot, today (Sunday) is really the only day off I have. I can't complain too much though, I have an uncle, a cousin, and about a million friends in the Iraq right now.
Happy Memorial Day all, please take the time to thank your local verterans for making USA a safer place to live and preserving your freedom.
DoubleDog, I will see you in the morning to relieve you from duty!

I have to work today too. Water patrol on Southern Illinois lakes and rivers. I'm an Illinois Conservation Police Officer ( my regular Job). It's raining here and cool so my work won't be as much fun. My son is also a Conservation Police officer in Northern Illinois, he won't be working here this weekend. He is a reservist in Iraq protecting all of our freedoms. I'm sure he would rather be working on the water in Illinois. Boat safe out there, It makes my job much easier. ;)
