Customer sent in these injectors. First thing I do is perform a Leak test. This is where Pressure is applied to the injectors only with no electrical pulse (The Injectors should show absolutely no Leak by). Once that test has been performed. I then do a operational test on the injectors as received (First Video). Once the screens are removed, Injectors Ultrasonically cleaned and new screens installed I perform a final Operational test (Second Video).
In this first video you will notice that only (1) of the 4 injectors has a good spray pattern and flow. The other three show a Poor spray pattern and flow. This can cause your engine to run lean and possibly cause costly damage.

As shown in this second video> After a proper Cleaning i.e. (1) Screens removed, (2) Ultrasonically cleaned, (3) New Screens.

The results are a balanced set of injectors!!

Wow Bud. I expected to see a difference but that's hard to imagine. I don't think importance of injector service can be over stated. I know anything new I build either gets carbs re-done or injectors serviced. Fuel flow is vital to the survival of any 2 stroke. Here is yet another example of why this site is so important to the boating world. We have some "top shelf" businesses on this site and East Coast is certainly one of them.

Thank you Randy. I was gonna post this one later. But if your EFI engine is getting terrible Fuel mileage or constantly flooding or running usually Rich. They could have this problem.

The stock little basket filter in injector plus the fuel filter/water separator.
Amazing that much crap can get thru 2 filters. Makes ya wonder how much went thru the motor.

Good and important info guys!
I like the Yamaha 10micron filter and change at least 2X a season depending on usage.

At 10 micron you can see the dirt, I would have thought for injector the filter would be lower than that or maybe they should be?

Keep in mind that too much filtration could cause restriction in delivery.
I just try to be diligent when and were i'm fueling and keep up with filters.

Just to put into perspective exactly how small and fine the Injector Screens/Baskets are heres a new one. While I dont install them in Race motor injectors Unless the customer request them be installed. I do install or include new ones with all other Injectors I service.

:iagree: And when that happens it can cause damage & cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!! Id rather take the chance of running a small amount of trash through my engine than have a filter clog causing a lean condition.

I dont know exactly what Micron rating those Screen/Baskets are but they are finer than 10 Microns.
what use is the screen after as filter that is finer?
