Hey all

Last time I posted here i got alot of odd answers to my question. So here we go I'm running a 87 STV charger with a EFI 2.5 260. I was running a 28p cleaver and my best was 90.6 mph. I have my motor maxed on my jack plate. I was told by someone else with the same boat as much as you jack the motor up you need to offset by putting spacers between the motor and jackpate to set it back. Does this make a difference to anyone or make sense. Also thinking the 28p is still a little big been told I should be trying 26p hump back cleaver 4 blades to push to the mid 90s. Any help or positive feedback would be great. If you want to be negative just move on thanks for your time

You should be over 100 mph, You sure it's a real 260, what are your RPMs? how high is your driveshaft.

In the past I've used 2 X 2 aluminum square 3/8" tube to add set back

In Lake Racer 1/4 mile drag racing your set up should break 100 with a 22 prop, at 10,000 RPM

If you use 2x2 tube you can raise your motor higher and get set back;)

Reach out to Talonkid on the forum...his ran a pretty consistent 105 best of 107 or 108 with a healthy 280 running a 30P humpback with the humps cut off the prop. He redid all the stringers floor and transom and it made a big difference. How is the structural condition of your boat? If it's wet it will be slow.
