We went on the Palatka river run today on the St Johns River here in Florida. Lake George sure was rough. Ran 30-35 most of the time. Spent alot of it airborne! Had alot of fun though!

I thought the inland lakes were just a cool slice of pie to run.

Maybe I have been mislead.

Somebody must know.

Lake George is the 2nd biggest lake in Florida and only 10ft deep, so it gets rough.
It was 3-4ft today! BIG FUN though!

Welcome to the waters we run many summer days......
You sure need a boat, equipment and body parts that will hold up for sure!
BTW, Not sure about "BIG FUN"......:nonod::eek:

There are spots on that lake where if it gets much rougher than it was yesterday and you aren’t on plane a larger boat will come close to hitting bottom in a trough. And it’s always short duration confused slop, it’s not my favorite body of water. If it wasn’t part of the St. John’s it wouldn’t be a very popular lake.

up in Palatka where the river comes south before making the left turn after going thru town a good noreaster can kick it up to where you will not be on plane unless you are in a 40 footer

Even with those wind yesterday, everyone was able to run the river in the STVs, Mirages, Actions, Allisons, and streams. It was interesting to watch some of the guys running under the bridge. Jack had the boat of choice yesterday (32 Doug Wright).

Do you need to be on some secret mailing list to get invited to one of these runs? The events section here seems to be hit and miss.
