91 efi 2.5 200 stock except for 35 c.c heads and Brucatto withh a 200 pro max curve Timing is set at 20 degrees for break in. Plug color is okay. The break in period was covered so tried opening motor up. Hits a wall around 6000. Will going to25 degrees get this thing to rev. Same computer (different settings)on same boat but with a 2.4 stock 200 was 6700+

I’d move the timing to 24-25 degrees but that isn’t your issue. I think you’ll find the Brucato fuel maps to be a little on the fat side. I’m guessing the plugs are black indicating an over rich condition

24 max on most advanced cylinder. Index them

I am indexed and the plug color was a slightly dark tan. Adjusting steamwheel didn't effect it either.

Did some checking and found a coil with bad ohm readings and some hidden damage. Had a similar senareo a couple of years ago and found much the same thing, wonky coil. The symptoms were very similar
